BHW home page problem?

Still the same problem for me, too. Nothing changed.
 
Wow seems like lots of people are having the same problem as me.

Now that I read your post, at least I know that this anomaly has been happening to other members too. :D

Oh, and I am not complaining or anything about this wierd thingy. I just thought that something was different with the BHW website than before and wanted to see if it was unique to me.

Again, thanks to the many kind mods and members who took some of their valuable time to explore the problem.

I'm not complaining about it either i just wanted to bring it to the admins/mods attention.

When i first saw it i thought it mite have been some bug so i went to sleep woke up and checked again to see if it was still happening and it was. So i let it go for 2 more days and i was still getting the same black screen, thats when i made this thread.
 
My programmer installed the latest version of vBulletin 3.7 Gold and just updated the vbadvanced today.
If you are still getting an error or blank page please clear your "Cache" and this should fix the problem.

I cleared my cache, deleted all cookies, ran CCleaner and still get the same problem, except there is a change. Now when I click on the BHW banner at the top left of the screen, I get the blank page. That didn't happen before. For your records, here is when I get the blank page:

Login
BHW banner at the top left of the screen
Home link on the top left row of menu links
Home button on the left side-bar

Hope that is useful to your techy in identifying the problem.
 
I need to amend my last post.

I only get a blank screen from the BHW banner at the top left of the screen if I click on it from a blank screen. If I click on it from a full screen, it takes me to the same page as the one the "Main Forums" button on the sidebar takes me to.

In other words:
- Login
- Home link on the top left row of menu links, and
- Home button on the left side-bar
all take me here and this gives a blank screen:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/

- BHW banner from a blank screen
takes me here and this still gives a blank screen:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/index.php

- BHW banner from a full screen, and
- Main Forums button on the sidebar
take me here and this gives a full screen:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/

Thanks for looking at this problem.

I tried a fresh login after clearing cache and cookies but in my case, at least, the situation persists.

Just thought I'd mention it but I can still read the forum posts (although I need to click a few more times) and I can reply to posts.

I'm sorry if I might have started what might be a witch hunt :icon16:

Tech problems that won't go away suck. I provide details to be helpful to the techies out of empathy for their plight.

Obviously, I feel great gratitude to Diamond Dave and all the wonderful people here. You people made my learning curve and life a whole lot easier. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
 
I don't know what to tell you guys. We've checked all the settings and the programmer says he "fixed it".. Half of you are experiencing this problem, half of you aren't. I'm part of the group that isn't. Are you guys closing your browsers completely before running CCleaner?

Yep, closed all browser windows.

Ran CCleaner.

Logged in again and it was the same situation as posted in mcmutt's screen shot.

I figure maybe I'll not worry about it too much, but if someone does manage to solve it, please post it here.

Otherise, we can give up on the witch hunt, perhaps? :D

Yes i am closing my browser completely before running CCleaner and i still get the black screen.

Yep.

I wonder if there is a way to blame Microsoft for this glitch...

Even if it isn't Microsoft's fault, it should be...
