You mentioned below about engaging accounts. If you like and comment on A account but you received like and comment from A's engaging acct (B), this is bad correct? A account itself should be returning the like and comment?

Interesting thread, I too have been experimenting with Engagement Groups, I have had mixed results. I did have one viral (48k likes and over 3k comments) on a 42k account, I never experienced something like that before. Next to that though, one account is still growing slightly organically but some are staying dead still or slightly declining too.... I should add that my accounts are quite niche specific (golf) so I think that plays a big factor in performance.

Did you completely stopped doing engagement groups now?

Technically, receiving likes and comments without giving any is best.
That is why you use one (throwaway) account to give likes, and the accounts receiving likes will in turn give likes to your main account (A account).

In fact, using Telegram and other large engagement groups/pods had a dramatically negative effect on all accounts giving and receiving likes. Instagram pretty much knows at what time groups are working. So, any likes coming in during those times from accounts that don't follow each other, will be treated as spam/bought.

After 6 months of doing Telegram groups, I stopped completely. It took months for the accounts to go back to normal. It's not worth messing up accounts that take a long time to create and grow, and more specifically, client's accounts.

Same situation is occurring for a few comment groups. Admin will drop paid or friends accounts, and not return comments.

If you are doing Like or Comment rounds on Telegram, I'm 100% sure you have already experienced this. There is only one way of preventing this and that is to withdraw from doing rounds on groups that are doing this. This is why many older groups on Telegram have died. The new groups have implemented "Leech Check", but don't be fooled, they only do leech checking for non-paid accounts. Those that pay get a free ride. Don't be duped!

You may think "hey, at least I'm getting some likes or comments back, so I don't care if I do a bunch of likes/comments and don't get reciprocated for them." WRONG. Instagram's algorithm focuses on how many likes/comments you give and how many you get back. So giving a bunch of likes/comments and getting a few back is BAD for you.

There are other Telegram groups that are doing a fine job preventing leechers, and Admin in those groups do not take advantage of you. To find out which are doing a good job and which you should avoid PM me here, or contact me on Telegram @colorme1965

By the way, I am not saying that all Telegram engagement groups are bad. I'm still using Telegram engagement groups every day. I'm just trying to bring a light on what's happening so that BHW users (which are a majority of users on Telegram) don't get duped.

1. Do you have any sources for the Instagram algorithm change that you claim? Please find me some source or article or some valid data driven research that showcases that giving likes and not receiving in bulk can hurt your account.
(In my opinion - and I say opinion - I'm not making any claims - by logic - over 90% of Instagram accounts are watchers - those who love to explore within their own niche and like and comment on people. Not everyone is actively boosting their Instagram. Majority loves to follow celebrities, explore hashtags and ideas - see whats happening near their places. So Instagram - as per your algorithm update (please cite resources) is going to penalize such poor users?)

2. You say that leaving engagement groups has significantly improved your profiles and their performances.
Again - on what basis are you saying this? Is this just a story that we should believe? I'm sorry but every other Tom, Dick and Harry comes up with the theory these days about the 'algorithm' update and the 'changes' with no sources. Its become a game for people to cook up stories.

I AM NOT coming at you. I'm just politely asking. What data records? What evidence? What sources? Or is it all just a story that we should believe based on blind faith?

3. You say that engagement groups are basically bad. I can agree with you on that one point to certain extent.
It would be logical to say that giving and receiving 2000 likes in a matter of 60 minutes does sound like something Instagram can track.

Instagram IS not a pity party where everyone must give back likes and comments. If that were true then everyone should have equal amount of likes and comments and followers.

What you claim is opposite of what would be logical.

Instagram is SUPPOSED to be a platform where some people gain a lot more hype that the majority.

Once this LOGIC is undermined - that should be the red flag.

If I get 20,000 likes ONLY because I gave 20,000 likes then something is definitely wrong.

Although - if I gave 20,000 likes and got 5,000 then that is okay. I'm probably an explorer.

There has to be mismatch.

4. FYI - Just so that you are aware of the world around you. All the pods that you have mentioned are outdated. Engagement groups are booming. New players have come and gone above and beyond. They have ultra advanced AI bots. They have extensive investments into marketing. Some have 25,000+ members and over 50 subnets.

Most of all that you have are pretty much useless and garbage. Not sure why you are not part of the main groups and that says a lot about your experience.

Once again - no offense.

Oh and one more thing - rounded groups are the ones that are going off as its a battle shit - people give shit and people take shit. Garbage comments and dummy likes from dummy account (accountgivinglikes) - as you said - MUCH MUCH better to buy fake likes.

But then again - continuous cycle pods are the ones booming. Those pods have AI bots. They auto ban CPA/Viral/Fake accounts. No more get rich quick scheme accounts in these pods. Only ultra high quality and real people - bloggers, travelers, photographers, fashion, parenting and others.

And who even uses FL for completing engagement for these rounds? Why would you use a third party bot using IG API just for liking?

If you are in continuous cycle groups then you'd only require a free chrome extension where you can paste links and like them all WITHOUT USING AN API OR A BOT.

I witness what the OP is saying. Telegram groups are used to feed the admins of those groups and their pals. Sorry but if you can't see that, then I don't know what to say. It isnt as egalitarian as some say. Those featured users always get the benefit of the likes without reciprocating back. They never get booted for leeching because they paid.

1. No source, just my own personal experience running multiple accounts. Others here on BHW have also come to the same conclusion.
2. Same as number 1 above. My own personal experience running multiple accounts, both personal and companies. Do a search here on BHW for Instagram engagement. Most, if not all, have tested and come to the same conclusion. There is something about engagement groups that Instagram's algorithm is quick to pick up and penalize those involved (giving and/or taking likes/comments).
3. See number 2 above. If your post does not hit explorer page, Instagram will penalize the account for receiving too many likes. Doesn't matter if you didn't give away any likes and only received. Instagram knows that you're post is not on explorer page, and thus assumes that you are doing something fishy.
4. Best way is to have huge accounts follow your account, then like and comment on your post within 3-15 minutes of posting. This is what drives your post into the explorer page. Anything else, in my opinion and testing, will just get your account penalized by Instagram.
As for using FL, this was written months ago. FL is still a good basic bot. There are others coming up that offer more, and better options. If you're using the bot owned by the pod owner, you are getting used. You will never now for sure how many accounts were in the round, how many likes you gave (they can play with this, and can also do liking on your behalf through out the day).

Remember, Instagram's AI is now looking at accounts that interacted with yours. If they do not follow you, where, why and how did they see your post and all of a sudden start engaging. It does not look natural, and thus Instagram penalizes both the account engaging and the account receiving.

I've written many times before, don't believe what I say. Test it out and then come to your own conclusion. It will usually be the one that I, and others, posted here. On BHW it's easy to find out if someone is just pulling your string, flat-out lying, or doesn't know WTF they're taking about. Always double-check the accounts that are posting and read their interactions here on BHW. Soon you'll know which ones to take their word at base value, and those that don't know.
