Beware of Telegram Groups

It's come to my attention, and I have personally tested that there are a few Telegram Like and Comment groups that are duping those that join rounds.

For example, there are some Like Groups that charge to drop (include) your account in one, or multiple like rounds but don't have to do likes. ie. Don't confuse this with paid Telegram groups to join. I'm referring to where you pay to receive likes, but don't give them in return. These groups will drop hundreds of paid accounts, but not return the likes. So, for those not paying and manually/bot doing rounds:
1. You will drop your account and like everyone on the rounds list
2. You will get a few return likes
3. The accounts dropped by Admin (paid accounts) will get your like, but you won't get a like back, even from another engaging account. An engaging account is an account that will return the like that you give to its main. For example: Apple account is dropped. Orange does return likes received by Apple. Orange is the engaging account.

How to test it. If you joined a round, check the likes and search for the names of those accounts dropped by Admin of the group. Now you will understand why you liked 400, 600 or 900 accounts; yet only received 200, 300, or 400 likes depending on the total number that joined that round.

Same situation is occurring for a few comment groups. Admin will drop paid or friends accounts, and not return comments.

If you are doing Like or Comment rounds on Telegram, I'm 100% sure you have already experienced this. There is only one way of preventing this and that is to withdraw from doing rounds on groups that are doing this. This is why many older groups on Telegram have died. The new groups have implemented "Leech Check", but don't be fooled, they only do leech checking for non-paid accounts. Those that pay get a free ride. Don't be duped!

You may think "hey, at least I'm getting some likes or comments back, so I don't care if I do a bunch of likes/comments and don't get reciprocated for them." WRONG. Instagram's algorithm focuses on how many likes/comments you give and how many you get back. So giving a bunch of likes/comments and getting a few back is BAD for you.

There are other Telegram groups that are doing a fine job preventing leechers, and Admin in those groups do not take advantage of you. To find out which are doing a good job and which you should avoid PM me here, or contact me on Telegram @colorme1965

By the way, I am not saying that all Telegram engagement groups are bad. I'm still using Telegram engagement groups every day. I'm just trying to bring a light on what's happening so that BHW users (which are a majority of users on Telegram) don't get duped.

Instagram's algorithm focuses on how many likes/comments you give and how many you get back. So giving a bunch of likes/comments and getting a few back is BAD for you.

I've never really got into the bandwagon of Telegram groups, but I fail to see the logic in your claim.

That'd punish people engaging with celebrities who never engage back, which is like 90% of Instagram userbase.

One thing is giving away likes to people that you follow, but giving hundreds and thousands of likes to people that your account does not follow, is something that catches the eye of Instagram's algorithm. This is why you will never see an account go viral just because it follows thousands of accounts every day and likes 800+ every day. Those accounts get hit by IG and that's been noted on other BHW posts.

That said, you made my point. If someone likes your photo and you reciprocate, that is what IG likes. Hence, the Telegram engagement groups, or any other engagement groups. IG likes people engaging with each other. But, on the other hand, if you go willy nilly liking hundreds of accounts, but those accounts don't like back - that is seen as bad engagement, or spammy, by Instagram.

I stopped about 1 week ago. Not worth my time. Even fake likes or fake comments would be better. Shit, did I just say that fakes are better than leechers? OMG.

Hi, replied to your DM. As noted, I've not been on Telegram since I stopped doing engagements. For weeks, the accounts would get zero (0) new followers. Yeah, weeks, and it was not the posts, since they all posted HQ images. Since I stopped engagement groups, the accounts that I handle get anywhere from 30-120 new followers per day. And, no, it was not an IG temp ban, since other accounts that were never engaging or receiving likes from the engagement groups were growing naturally.

By the way, I dropped small accounts, mid-size and even 100K+ accounts. All had the same experience. Other than getting reciprocating likes (from non-leechers, which make 30-40% of dropped accounts on any one round), there was no other gain. Posts would be at the top of hashtags (verified with a VPN browser only done for that), so it was not hashtag ghosting either.

As to what it was dragging the accounts down, I have no idea. Maybe IG algorithm places a stop for new followers for accounts doing engagement groups? Now, some people say they gained new followers, but most of those were also doing follow/unfollow, so that pretty much tells you their new followers were coming from follow/unfollow, not doing engagement groups. I did all test, new accounts, old accounts, none doing follow/unfollow, some doing likes, some receiving likes only even from 100K+ only rounds. Accounts in test were gaining new followers organically from being at top of hashtags. After entering engagement rounds for weeks, no new followers. One week after stopping doing engagement groups, the accounts went back to organically getting new followers.

Now, my tests are only for Telegram. Those experiencing different results on other groups can chime in.
What I did notice is that many Admins were dropping accounts that were never, ever, returning likes. Hey, I checked manually even on 1,300+ rounds. My accounts would like 1,300+ posts, and receive 700 likes in return. One by one, round after round I wrote down all accounts returning likes on Excel sheets. Found that accounts dropped by Admins were the leechers. Of course, Admins, even after I reported the problem, did nothing or knew, that their dropped accounts were not returning likes.

There is even one large group that drops hundreds of paid accounts that is "supposed" to return likes because they are on auto-bots. But the auto-bot is "broken" so no likes are returned, ever!

So, if you want likes reciprocated on your posts, that do nothing, go ahead and continue. Soon, you'll realize that most groups have large numbers of leechers, and you'll realize that the 1-2 hours that you spend doing likes, even on bots like me, it's just not worth it for your accounts.

Do you know if the same is true for groups that are for 10k+ and other similar ones like that in comparison to the free telegram groups? I've experience similar issues with you for all the open entry free groups.

There are only two (2) remaining groups that I would vouch for that have little to no leechers. The VGN Likes and Millionaires. All others have leechers and/or Admins that drop accounts that do not reciprocate the likes. Small follower only groups 10K and under or 10K+ follower groups make no difference. The problem in many of these are the Admins. They charge for autobot/round engagements for those that don't want to do the liking (sort of a you'll be in every round and receive likes without you doing anything program).
Well? These paid autobot accounts will not be penalized for not liking (which they usually don't) and the Admins won't ban them since that is how they make money. I'm not against making money. I'm against leechers as stated in my initial opening post.

No one using Telegram engagement goes viral, whether using a bot or manual. I am and was engaged in all the biggest groups on Telegram. I know of no one that ever went viral because of the Telegram groups.

Start doing some real marketing and develop skills that will bring you to the next level guys, I am not talking about IG only, I am talking in general.

Hi! I'm new to growth hacking on IG (be it an activity for 12 yr olds, at least it can help get your message out there more widely, so why not try?) I've had my first telegram round and am very confused with the result: all good I thought:
800 likes, 30 comments and I've been in top post for +- 5 hashtags since 12+ hours (things like #glutenfree etc , i'm in food)
so this makes me very visible for people interested in this

yet... no new followers!! at all.


Somebody has an explanation for this? Should I just keep pushing telegram and get more posts in the top?
Or have I been blocked in one way or another?

I have decent content, my food pics are as qualitative as 100k accounts, around 50 - 60 posts.

Guys, engagement groups are dead. It's like a 1-2 year old thing now.

Since I stopped doing engagement groups, the accounts that I handle are back to normal and gaining at least 100 new followers every day. And that's for the little accounts that have 3K or less followers.

Telegram groups are there to make money for the Admins. They use you as the free liking bot for their paid accounts. Don't trust me, if you're doing Telegram engagement groups, whether it's for liking or comments; check your stats. You liked 100 and only received 40 likes. You commented 40 times and you only got 15 comments back. Multiple those numbers by whatever amount you did and the results will be similar. I remember doing up to 1700 likes within 1.5 hours and only getting back 600 likes on multiple accounts. I was duped and if you're still in them, you are being duped.

Read what others post here, they keep doing it and no new followers. Stop doing Telegram or any other engagement groups, Instagram already knows about them and is cracking down on your accounts.

I am wondering what to do with it. I have done some manual following and unfollowing. If I don't do that the account doesn't add any new followers, and even though my posts hit the top posts in various hashtags including those with 1 million+ posts.

Not sure how to proceed at this point.

All the big accounts got to where they are by follow/unfollow. Unless they spent a ton of money (tens of thousands) to gain "real followers".
Just keep at it. You'll gain more traction when you hit 50k, and later at 100k. It may seem slow now, but just wait. It does take time. Be competitive in quality and innovate your photos. Same-oh, same-oh does not cut it any longer on Instagram. There are millions of accounts doing the same, so you have to step up your posts.

This is interesting. How long did it take before the accounts started growing again? I've been doing Telegram groups since Christmas, and I'm no longer gaining followers. I'm not shadowbanned, but I have simply no meaningful growth (maybe 5/day on a 19k acc with HQ content). I've also noticed that I don't get any organic engagement when I post anymore. I'll get maybe 100 likes in 30 mins (used to get way more) until the engagement group increases that number to 1k+. I used to get 30-50 comments but now I'm lucky if I get 10.

It feels like a shadowban, but it's not (had people check my hashtags). I'm going to stop doing the rounds and let my account rest for a little bit. Do you think that'll work? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It wasn't long afterwards, maybe 1-2 weeks. As has been noted by others before me, IG tends to clear whatever was hampering your account after a few weeks. Now, it's just smooth sailing.
