best webhosting for a new site?

Hello everyone!
A friend of mine is launching a board game shop, and they want to build a basic website mainly about their services and introduction ect. (maybe some articles later on)

They had registered ' Gandi.net' plan a few months ago, but haven't really figure out how to do it yet.

I'm new in IM so I can't give them too many suggestions...
Should they stick with this plan on Gandi.net? or they could just go namecheap with the cheapest plan first, and then upgrade if they need?

Bluehost is best out there, but you might wanna go with cheaper one if you are just starting, like Hostgator, because you can pay on monthly basis and good discount anually.
 
u can try Namecheap. since it good and cheap price for hosting.. i ever use hostgator and never ever want to u that hosting again. their cs is bad.

Stay away from hosts from domain registrars. Most of the time they're trash. At least go with something more decent like hostgator, because even though hostgator is not the best of web servers, it's definitely enough for a non-programmer newbie.
 
if I choose hostgator, which host should I use? there are plenty of them? is shared web hosting good?

Things are not best, Things are according to your need. check if you need more data and more speed then go for good companies but bit expensive companies.
 
If you are new to web development, you should choose the hosting that might be a little bit more expensive but have instant support like hostinger, later when you are master, you can use vultr, siteground ....
 
Use Liquidweb.com they have great support 24/7, good prices and usually answer to phone calls within minutes.

Depends on your budget.
Namecheap is fine if you're looking for cheap and cheerful.

Avoid anything from EIG.

If you've a decent budget, A2, Siteground or my go to is WPX.
 
GoDaddy and NameCheap is best for low budget and startup
 
Hostgator shared baby plan is good, it's reasonably priced and gives you user friendly backend dashboard. I found their customer service also good as they solve the issue right on the call.
 
Try the cheapest for the basic website.When in future your audience will grow you can upgrade.
