How can I check and know that my articles are indexed in Google? I did sitemap submit on webmaster.

Google.com > site:your-site-domain.com/article/ > hit enter
 
So if I see the article in search then they are indexed right?

Search in this format in Google, site: your link that you want to check (site:domain.com/post)
 
Site: Bla Bla Bla

Example : site:hxxp.balackhatworld.com
 
Try searching on google yourdomain/g if it shows that means you are indexed :)
