Hey there, quite confused about where to start to manage these users smoothly. As my DO vps(15$)- 2CPU,2GBRAM crashes every-damn-time as concurrent users flows through the site.

I am using runcloud- Nginx-Apache & cloudflare. The web page is made of elementor and not too light nor heavy with 2 images but tons of configured elements.

You need to optimize the website for high traffic. PM me, I will see what I can do to help.

Have a look at plans from asvhost.com and hostingsource.com. Guess they can be good for you.

You will need to optimize your VPS, and use Nginx or Openlitespeed, configuring cache (in server side) and non-server side. Mysql / php also needs some hardening.

Of course, good specs and network will do it. Within it, you will face some issues, like going down, high memory and mysql going down.

There no magic solutions, 512MB don't will do the job certaintly.

You might need to check that deal together with your provider. Perhaps that is right time to upgrade plan.

1st you need to optimize your backend which OS are you using on VPS and also check latency.

Its Ubuntu-latest ver as on DO. Pingdom shows 292 ms load time. Do you think the server resources mentioned above can run such amount of users smoothly?

2GB RAM , 2CPU is good enough to handle are you using mysql or mariadb , lemp or lamp. What is your avg. page size ?

Oh, then I must be doing something not optimal.

Server is using mariadb, Apache-Nginx hybrid Lamp from Runcloud, using Nginx as reverse proxy but not fully for apache2 as stated by them.

Avg page size is: like 1.01 mb to 1.07 mb.

1st optimize page size . your modules are pretty good to handle your traffic easily. Are you using panel like plex , cpanel , vestacp ETC., or just locahost domain ? Looks like you have fully managed VPS right ?

The vps from digitalocean is connected to runcloud. That's all. They handle all of the configuration I suppose. No I don't use cpanel or any panel.

Guess I would have my site rebuilt for better better optimization

i really hate digital ocean for websites they are mostly used for projects purpose.. if you need help i could install for 1 server only :D
hit me details privately happy to help ;)

DigitalOcean doesn't refund your money, so that is shitty.

No thanks.

Managed hosting sucks most of the time, but create a VPS website from scratch is a real hustle.

I remember having problems with setting up http2.0 that was really frustrating.

Yep. It's either manged vps with shitty features or the cool ass vps but you gotta do all the tweaks lol. Have to settle for either of one smh

Well DO is not famous for the CPU speed but is just ok. Your issue is RAM related add 1GB more and you should be good.

Or even better get yourself a real high end solution which will just work with your website I'm sure that you will find plenty of offers for the same or slightly higher price.

A hosting provider from here just contacted me to test trial their service with added +2 gb more ram. So I am hopeful the server will withstand the traffic when they barges in. Thanks for the recommendation tho

Any time, take care

Dang. Totally not cool. I might move away from them as well

They refund you, but is only to your account, lets suppose you buy vps of 10€, if you want a refund they will do. But only to your account of DO, they don't refund the payment to your bank or paypal or something!

That is shitty, this is why I don't use DigitalOcean or other company that makes this things, if I ASK for refund of course i want the money back.
