What in your opinion would be the best video software? I am wanting to purchase something for my husband for making videos but do not want to ask him about it. I would like something that is not super expensive but yet will make videos look awesome.

It depends on what he wants to do. Camtasia is good for recording the screen and for tutorials. For basic video editing, Sony Vegas Pro should do the trick and is cheap compared to other editors. You can use After Effects if you want to get fancy and add cool effects and graphics to your video.

I use Camtasia Studio. Other options are Toonboom, AfterEffects, Animoto, Crazytalk etc.

you could buy corel stuff. but if you buy the nero platinum suite, burning software, there comes nero vision included - it has a lot of feautures and lets you export in lots of file formats. and of course, it can do pretty decent dvd, bluray menues and burns it directly and easily to disk if wanted.

Adobe After Effects and Premiere are pretty good video editing softwares.

Camtasia Studio is the best for sreen recording. Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects and Premiere are the best for video editing. My 2 cents.

I prefer using After Effects and Adobe Premiere. Premiere is nice for editing video. You can cut video in pieces, slow it down, fasten it up, add transitions. After Effects is a very convenient software for special effects. This is where you can make a candy from your video. :)

First you need to state what is super expensive(mean how much), i have use premier pro, after effects and sony vegas they are all good, but might be out of your budget

Article Video Robot and Camtasia Studio
