Hey guys,

I’ve been running some paid campaigns recently and noticed a lot of low-quality traffic hitting my landing pages. I’m seeing clicks coming from VPNs, proxies, and possibly bots, which is affecting my overall conversion rate. I’m not looking for anything shady—I just want to improve traffic quality and ensure my ads reach real users. Do you have any reliable tools or methods you recommend for filtering unwanted traffic or improving campaign performance? Would appreciate any suggestions or experiences.

Thanks!

Most bad traffic comes from weak placements and broad geo targeting not just bots so segment by source and kill the junk fast. Alternatively you can use trafficguard

Don’t rely only on ad platform filtering
Google/Meta do filter invalid clicks, but they don’t catch everything — especially VPN/proxy traffic and more “human-like” bots.

So if you’re scaling, you need an extra layer.

You can try using tools like GeoEdge, Human Security or ClickCease to filter out bot traffic and improve ad quality. Also, setting up proper IP filtering and using more specific targeting can help.

Use a cloaker like , adspect , TrafficGuard or jci, it’ll clean most junk instantly.

Low-quality traffic from bots, VPNs, and proxies is a common issue in paid campaigns, and the best approach is a combination of tools and optimization. Use click-fraud detection platforms like TrafficGuard or Anura to filter invalid clicks, and consider edge protection like Cloudflare to block bad traffic before it reaches your site. At the campaign level, tighten geo/device targeting, exclude poor placements, and shift to conversion-based bidding so algorithms prioritize real users. Finally, monitor behavioral signals like bounce rate and time-on-page to identify suspicious patterns and refine your filters over time.

You can try ClickCease, TrafficGuard, or Cloudflare to block bots and suspicious traffic—helps keep your clicks real and conversions higher.

Okay, but what is the price of this?

tightening your audience targeting naturally reduces bot traffic because you're narrowing who even sees the ad in the first place.
