Best Themes for a Authority Site

Are one-page micro-niche sites (especially on that ubiquitous theme) being Google hammered hard lately because of adverts above sparse content?
 
If I were you I'd run with Heatmap, lots of options, easy to use, easy to modify, and it's not that expensive
 
Im using twentyten, don't laugh because Im new to wordpress,
any reason why that can't be used for an authority site ? if its customized,
 
Thesis or Maginifient theme from elegant themes
 
I started an authority site as well 2 days ago....it's just that Heatmap is so ugly!
 
I use thesis.

Very customizable... very professional.
 
I usually use themes from Genesis. But to be honest, I'm starting to really like the default Wordpress theme..trying it out on my newest site; we'll see how it works out.

1. Themejunkie
2. Thesis
3. Genesis..
 
I go with Thesis as well.With a bit of customization or with some skins,it can be really beautiful.
 
Thesis is not good if you want to focus on ad placement and also capturing opt ins especially if you have multiple categories
