Hello guys,

lot of things are changing in SEO rapidly. Hence, what are the best gurus or so products that WORK in 2014?

Mike Woodward, Alex Becker (Source Wave), Glenn (ViperChill). The usual. Things haven't "changed," Google has just raised the bar to make their requirements stricter. Same things that have always worked still work: links. Yes linking "methods" that worked 6 months ago don't work today, but those are just the methods. The principles behind SEO (proper onpage optimization and link building) haven't changed much at all.
 
Yea basically the formula for SEO success hasn't changed in years.

Good Content + Good On-Site Optimization + Good Links = Good Rankings

The only thing that's changed are the effectiveness of the "2nd String" methods ie Tiered Link Building, SPAM, Link Wheels, SAPE links etc.
 
Keeping an eye on seo forums and data driven seo blogs is the best way to keep up to date with the latest seo techniques, but nothing beats your own experiences. Having a bunch of various sites ranked with various techniques and keeping an eye on how they perform and their rank fluctuations will give you a better feeling for seo and what works than any theoretical products.
 
If you have good content and complete manual effort then you can easily rank good without spending a hell lot of money.
 
Links work and they would work for a long time.

You can rank your site with fewer links now. basics are same, apply your ideas and see the impact. Dont run after gurus.
 
If you want to rank a site / a page at Google for promoting an affiliate program, I suggest you to consider both Matthew Woodward and Alex Becker of Source Wave. Thy are great SEO gurus for this year 2014.
 
I'd suggest you to don't copy step to step gurus, just get an idea from them and implement you changes in it for the best results. Matthew Woodward's blog has number of tutorials and case studies on GSA Search Engine Ranker, TBS and other tools. Watch the videos only for to get an idea, don't use it like spoon feeding.
 
Becker (source wave) is the best for telling it straight and cutting through the BS in my opinion. He also gives away great material free of charge so no need to spend thousands of dollars.
 
Stay away from the self professed Gurus at all cost! Instead learn how Google operated through
analysis on your own websites.

SEO is constantly evolving and Google is pushing us towards to higher quality methods in order to get ranked successfully. Other than that, the basic SEO rules that others have already mentioned are still current.
