Hello all,

Let me begin by telling you a bit about myself. I founded my own company and I am working to increase my presence on social media and in the industries related to my brand. I found myself here just to find out how to get some more followers on my IG and Twitter. Then I discovered there is much more I could do to build my company.

Basically this thread is to begin a discussion or advice/help forum for people like myself who are beginners to BHW and would like some direction in which techniques and methods to employ that would greatest benefit growing a business. Since I already have a brand and products that I am selling, certainly there is some combination of black hat/ white hat and other methods that would allow me to be more successful.

I am not simply looking for some adsense scheme that makes money from traffic or pervs clicking selfies. I am looking to grow my legitimate business, in arguably legitimate ways ;)

Thanks in advance!

Social media is the ticket for sure and you want to offer your clients an easy way to hop on that bandwagon... I've set up QR codes to twitter and FB accounts for my Brick and Mortar clients and had a nice 8 1/2 X11 page printed up and posted by the cash register or the sign in location in the event that it was a membership club.

They are free and it looks real professional + it is quick and easy for your current clients/customers to just scan and follow.

Last week I read from Business Insider that, there are a Social Media Marketer who earn more than $250,000+ per month only form 2 sites and 75%+ traffics are generate from his 40 FB pages where they have over 25M fans. It just make me surprised.

I have a bunch of QR flyers that I hand out and leave everywhere I can. I have three codes on the flyer: website code, facebook like button code, and instagram follow code.. I operate business from my home and on the web. I dont have a store that people can walk into so I struggle a bit to get rid of flyers and get people to scan them. I usually have to offer a person a free sticker to even get them to take the flyer (the codes should be on the stickers too). I visit whatever events I can related to my business and try to hand these things out.

To be honest I dont think I am making a dent with those efforts. Maybe I need a new way to get my flyers to more people but I am I my only employee. I get friends to help but they arent as enthusiastic and hardly target the right people. I've given away a hundreds of stickers and flyers but I really feel they rarely result in likes and follows. I am almost certain the sales I do generate on the internet are completely random people finding my shop on Etsy due *sort-of-ok* SEO

I am doing my best to build as many organic followers as I can my IG is ok I have about 3600 followers and out of the approximately 2600 of those that are real they are fairly active with the content I post. I do my best to reciprocate but with how many people I had to follow to get my follows up its hard. Its way too much content and I know I probably am not keeping them all engaged.

I am hoping BHW has some insight that can help because starting a business as one person is extremely challenging.

Handing out flyers to people to engage them on internet or social media can indeed be quite challenging, especially for an online-only store. If you are an online store, your customers are also online users surfing net and spending time on other pages. You just need to find and engage them.

Your strategy depends on the product you sell, what niche you are in, and who you target. If it's an Etsy store, as I understood... then you need to create a community, a tribe is a more popular word for that, around your brand. It will also be beneficial to engage with similar entrepreneurs, better with more popular ones, and see whether you can collaborate, create a collection (you provide accessories for their clothing collection, for example). Etsy is also more visual, so Instagram is your friend for sure and Pinterest. Pinterest is great for link building! Along with this, SEO should of course be taken care of.

I can go on and on, but I still don't know your product, so I can't provide specific feedback or give targeted advice.

You can start incorporating instagram/twitter bots in your arsenal to build up your brand to make things easier. As for instagram you can comment/like/follow people with 10s or 100s of accounts to direct traffic to your main IG account and same goes for twitter you can start following a big account's followers in your niche and you can find a favorite imacros script here to favorite a certain popular keyword in niche.
