Best image Optimization Plugin?

Thanks to this post, I've noticed that Shortpixel has a new deal for this year in appsumo

Every year for the past 3 years I've been purchasing 1 code for each LTD.
I've spent thousands of $ in appsumo and I have to admit, the only single deal I'm massively using is Shortpixel (already invested like $300 in credits in the past 3 deals)
In fact I'm going to purchase another code for those CDN extra credits.
It's funny because every single LTD they do in Appsumo improves the later which is weird because other appsumo deals are the other way around (every LTD is worst than the one before). Some people don't like this because they feel that the pioneers should be rewarded better than the later "investors", but since you start using the great service way before, the LTD is returned with profit.

In this case, you will not regret going with this as I commented in my past post: SPIO for max optimization (niche pages to rank), and SPAI for simplicity (i.e. landing pages that are not looking to rank)

I'd seen that promo, which is why I posted the thread actually mate.

EWWW Image Optimizer https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ A successful add-on.

@MisterF i see you are wpx fan so they won't allow to convert jpeg/png images to webp on their servers and that is why I don't use wpx hosting.

I have best results with a combination of resmush.it plugin and webp express plugin. Add a CDN like bunnycdn and the website is good to go.

short pixel , so far so good but I not sure how much bytes so call save.
but loading big pictures etc stuff seem ok

There are so much but not try with Smush because it injects tons of junk things into your database, even after removed.

No - I just requested a refund for my credits over there. Images are converted quite bad...

I love this one:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/optimole-wp/

In what way are they bad in quality?

To run on a site alongside WP Rocket.

Shortpixel

Yes or no?

@Veil123 , @kindablack , @Festinger and anyone else who is a WP expert.
Sorry for the late answer, if you decided already, someone else might find my answer usefull. I have tested them all.

I use ShortPixel on all my websites, but I use their ShortPixel Adaptive Images plugin combined with BunnyCDN (Guide Here) instead of their own CDN, saves some, and makes it load faster.

Here is an example of an image compressed in highest compression (webP), you can choose not to compress this high if you need better quality: https://ibb.co/KrT4bj0

I'm giving this https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/ (Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster) a vote, god damn it's amazing.

I'm using optimizilla. It's not WP plugin tho because I like to cut on the number of plugins that are installed to not slow my website when I already have a ton of them installed.

Individually or in bulk, Smush Image can reduce the size of your photos to 1MB (or 5MB if you upgrade to the paid version).

If you add this plugin on an existing platform, all you have to do is go to Settings > Media to activate it. It would then optimize all of your current photos. As long as the plugin is enabled, any new photos you upload will be automatically optimized.

Never heard of that one, will have to check it out. Cheers.

You should. They bring you access to CloudFront CDN with on-the-fly image optimization (both WebP and AVIF), other static asset optimization, custom CNAME/s, SSL, cache management and so MANY PARAMETERS to further personalize & optimize your images. I was lucky - got an awesome lifetime deal on AppSumo. They still have some offer there. You should also try appsumo recommended WPCompress (same + few extra features). You get 60 days PAID trial so nothing to lose.

Best of luck!

Shortpixel is the best.
As an example: i switched to Imagify and tried both agressive/ultra optimizations, some images had their size lowered some even increased. I switched back to Shortpixel and everything is fine.
Example:
Image original size - 900 kb / Imagify Ultra - 1.02kb / Shortpixel - 93 kb
