Best image Optimization Plugin?

Shortpixel might make a conflict with the cache from wp-rocket. If your website does not have a lot of images, it is WAY better to manually optimize them prior uploading on server.
And how do you do that ?

I have not done a thorough review between multiple image optimization software but all I can say you I'm currently using Shortpixel Image Optimization in the sites I need the best WPO and Shortpixel adaptive images in the pages I don't. SPAI is slightly tricky because they lazyload with a javscript ai.js which is not the best optimization possible (considering that lazyloading doesn't need a script anymore with the current HTML standards)

SPIO is just an image optimization software that optimize images on the fly when you upload them. You can set up some extra settings, but i leave them unchecked: just the lossy compression works wonders for me and saves me a lot of time.

I have to say that my opinion is extremely biased because I have thousands of lifetime credits I purchased a long time ago through an Appsumo deal, and it doesnt make sense for me investing in other deals currently. Maybe comparing with monthly plans, there are other better alternatives with better compression algorithms. So take this a pinch of salt if you are specifically looking for Shortpixel for any reason (maybe you can buy some LTD credits from someone that doesn't need them anymore)

+1 for Optimole. Easy to use, works great, and free for up to 5k visits. It can also handle the lazy load and WEBP conversion.

Another one I've used is- https://www.gumlet.com/

Got a lifetime deal and use it on all of my sites. Not better than Optimole IMO but value for money.

Optimole is a really good shout, probably the best I've come across, but if I remember rightly you only get so much "credit" so you'll have to pay for more eventually if you are putting it on a site with a lot of visits. I also sometimes use Autoptimize, but it's not as good generally, although it's free.

i think ninja page speed is the best for optimizing your site

If you're using WP Rocket, I suggest Imagify as inage optimization. In fact, WP Rocket recommends Imagify. They're both made by the same company.

Imagify not only compresses your images but can also create and serve .webp images. I'm already using .webp images in lieu of jpeg or png, as the former is about 30% smaller, and is recommended by Google for faster pagespeed.

I personally use tinypng or tinyjpeg (same) to manually optimize all images before uploading to avoid extra plugins. But they also have a (free?) WP plugin. Great compression IMO, but then again I'm no WP expert.
