For me its Photoshop. The graphics are just more crisp in my opinion. For creating logos and artwork it would be Illustrator.

Still it's Photoshop but they way things go now is either use an existing theme or framework then design/build around it.

I personally prefer always Adobe illustrator Cs6 Photoshop Cs6 is a brilliant tool for graphic design So I suggest to use Photoshop for design......:)

brilliant software for graphic design adobe photoshop and adobe edge reflow for web design

Adobe photoshop, Flash and Corel Draw are that kind of tools which are used easily by every designer.

Please I really don't know the right place to post this, but was really hoping somebody here can help me out. I have a photocopy machine in my office that is faulty. Let me just try to explain it's fault; anytime I make a photocopy work, the work is always cut. It's like it shifts, not producing the whole page of the original. Some part would be lost. Can anyone please help...please PM me...thanks

lol, it could be some settings need changing on the copier hard to tell exactly...

I really do appreciate your reply, I thought as much. So I tried doing some changes in the setting, and even tried hard reset but still not working. Maybe I'll get a technician, but they are proven difficult to find.

For Raster Graphics:

Freeware Application > Gimp

For Vector Graphics:
Paid Application > Adobe Illustrator or Xara Designer
Freeware Application > Inkscape

For Website Design:
Paid Application > Dreamweaver
Freeware Application > Wordpress

Cheers! - "Wiz"

Wiz is right on the money, solid advice by him as always!

From my personal experience as well, each application and program has its own primary purpose and a unique set of options and features depending on your project goals and needs.

If I were to choose one, I would go with Photoshop for the design aspect, since you can basically create anything from logos, to banners to fully custom websites. Then I would use dreamweaver to help convert and code it from PSD to HTML, etc.

Have a wonderful day!

I would use Illustrator for the layout and typography, and Photoshop for graphics, Notepad++ for the coding.

Gimp is not even worth putting your time into. Photoshop hands down.
