Photoshop & pen tool are the latest best Graphic tool for design the good website.

Photoshop for sure. Gimp not that much, tbh gimp is terrible. Illustrator is mostly for the logo for the website and maybe some banners.

I think it's what you're most comfortable with as far as the ease of access and layout. A lot of people swear by photoshop, but I find it hard to navigate. I like gimp version 2.6 much better. The new version from the official website has added too much. If it aint broke don't fix it, you know.

I'd say Adobe Photoshop for sure, but it really depends what you're making. Adobe Illustrator for example is perfect for logos and other vector graphics.

+1 vote from me.. Super bro.

For Raster Graphics:
Paid Application > Adobe Photoshop
Freeware Application > Gimp

For Vector Graphics:
Paid Application > Adobe Illustrator or Xara Designer
Freeware Application > Inkscape

For Website Design:
Paid Application > Dreamweaver
Freeware Application > Wordpress

Im using...

Adobe Photoshop for editing
CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator for making high resolution logos and converting graphics
Adobe Dreamweaver for overall website setup..

Photoshop is by far the best. There's plenty out there, but none of them can even come closing to competing with Photoshop IMHO.

bahaha nice! just bust out the good ole note pad an in a jiffy you will have a perfectly designed logo.

I feel like one of the only ones who use Fireworks!

I do photoshop for the hard stuff, but for design, text, and what not. Fireworks is much more time efficient.

If you just want to create a website, search google for wysywig website builders and there are many new online and offline tools that do almost as good if not better job than dreamweaver

i am just used Corel Draw and adobe photoshop !!!
