Do you mind paid alternative? Because if you are willing to go with paid then I can recommend Plausible. Hands down it's the BEST alternative to GAnalytics. It's so simple and fast and it really lets you understand where your visitors are coming from and how they are behaving on your site. It doesn't have a lot of complicated metrics that you don't really care about most of the time. They will also not sell your data since they make money from subscription. Their script is just a few KBs also. Highly recommended to check them out. They are not expensive for how much value they can give you as a site owner.

But I did a quick search right now and it turns out they have an open source version of it. With a more limited features I think. You can check it out here: https://github.com/plausible/analytics/. I think matomo has a self-hosted version also.

So with 50 websites with 50 visits each per day (bots excluded, I'm only talking about visits from Google), you're already at 75k monthly visits. And 50 daily visits are really a pittance, imagine with 3-4-500!
It's not very convenient unfortunately.
But yes, if you have a few websites, or you do tons of money, can be good, expensive but good!

If you are not able to set it up on your own I'm sure somebody on Upwork would be able to set it up for you for a few bucks.
