Try DaVinci Resolve. Before when I was still in 9th grade I used that but when I went to college, I installed Adobe Premiere Pro and just searched on how to use it from youtube videos. I think there is a free trial version of adobe premiere for 1 week ( i think) why don't you take advantage of that.

OpenShot for basic editing (cross platform) or FFmpeg for the terminal wizards. The old Filmora was my favorite on Windows, but they changed it and now it's super lame.

Free like, actually free:
-Davinci Resolve

Paid ones:
-Adobe Premiere
-Sony Vegas
-Filmora (if you're not doing fancy stuff)

Which is the quickest to save/export the file when finished. I regularly edit 7gb 1920x1080 on a fast PC and it takes around 15mins to export all the changes to a finished movie file?

That's actually a pretty fast render time for a 7gb file.

Not legal but I usually use torrnet sites to get editing software.
