What crypto is advisable to buy currently and hold for some time? I currently have xrp but i will like to buy other crypto as i have been hearing some bad stories about xrp.

Also, do you think the price of all cryptocurrencies will explode when covid-19 is totally gone?

I really like Zcash (ZEC). Same supply as Bitcoin with private / shielded transactions.
If you hold your money in a Z wallet nobody knows how much you have... with all the
tracking going on with Bitcoin it seems better to have a coin that can't be traced.

Sure some exchanges might not like it, but it's more inline with the ethos of crypto.

In the future I think many people will be happy transacting with ZEC. Great price now too!

The ATH was $3200 and now it's only ~$90 - $100.

They're rebuilding their leadership and they have a smart community. It's my long term hodl.

Bitcoin is worth looking into. But as always, do your own research.

And no, I don't think covid-19 going or staying will effect the cryptocurrency markets much in either direction.
 
Ethererum
Ethererum Classic (Because Ethererum will not be able to be mined using mining rigs anytime soon)
Bitcoin
 
ETH has the most upside and is the most stable. All other altcoins are a crapshoot, can shoot up tomorrow and be gone the next day
 
I want to preface this by saying you should always do your own research.

That said, DeFi (decentralised finance) coins which allow for staking and generating a passive income have been exploding lately (i.e BAND, DIA, Bancor, KNC, Swingby). I'd encourage you to read up on DeFi and how its changing the cryptocurrency landscape. Same thing for oracles like LINK and DOS.

As far as good long term holds, established coins like Tezos, ETH, Reserve Rights and Algorand are decent bets. As for smaller market-cap coins with large upside potential I'd take a look at Upfiring, DEFIPIE, INFT, ShipChain, DMST.
