Would stay away from hostgator.. has some really bad experience switched to webhost.uk.net cheap yet reliable for me.

I finds support pretty poor, does not respond to tickets. I am looking elsewhere

If you are looking at good shared hosting, then i recommend a2hosting, not very cheap either but good uptime and fast wordpress hosting. They have a WP optimised deal.

In the last month, Offshoreseovps has basically shut down without notifying their customers. They stopped responding to support tickets in March, started putting off customers who contacted on chat, then stopped answering chat inquiries completely. No refunds, no access to data on servers, no notice. Many are filing paypal disputes, as at this point it seems that the company has ripped off a bunch of people and disappeared into the ether. Another fly by night company...
