Best blogging platform now days

Medium if you don't want to self-host your blog or you want some traffic for your other sites. Otherwise, Wordpress is still the best way to blog.

I think wordpress is the best option for the blogging website even meta, microsoft use wordpress technology for the bloging website.

I'm happy with WordPress, but you can check Ghost as some guys mentioned earlier if you are looking for alternatives

WordPress is not underrated in fact it is overrated. It can get messed up easily or get hacked anytime if you're not careful. Also, you need at least some technical knowledge to make it well optimized.

A blog on Medium is not yours, it's their platform and they do delete blogs for minor issues. I had one taken down few months ago but it's nothing important so I don't care.

BTW, did you know Evan Williams is the co-founder of Blogger, Twitter and Medium. Yes, he helped creating 3 massively successful services which still exists today. Fuckin Legend!

Blogger is by far the most underrated blogging tool ever. Just add your custom domain and a professional theme and you're ready to run with SSL. It's quick, already optimized, everything is in place.

You want to edit robots.txt, ads.tx? it's just there, you need to add analytics? It's there in the settings, you need to add more authors? It's there. Just send an invitation by putting their email. Fast and easy, you need to add to search console, it's automatically verified. No extra steps. You basically just write, that's it.

But there are some limitations, you can't publish thousands of articles automatically, can't add plugins, can't change URL structure. But that's it. It's an insanely good deal for something that's free.

Still Wordpress. I've been using them since 2013, and now it's difficult to switch to another platform.

The best blogging platforms nowadays are WordPress (for flexibility and control), Wix (for ease of use), and Medium (for built-in audience and simplicity)

Among major new platforms, Substack is an all-purpose dynamo. As said on its site, "A Substack combines a website, blog, podcast, video tools, payment system, and customer support team — all integrated seamlessly in a simple interface. We handle the admin, billing, and tech so you can focus on making your best work."

If you're looking for an underrated but solid blogging platform, Blogger (Blogspot) still holds surprising value it's free, easy to use, and lets you connect a custom domain without paying for hosting.

WP is still pretty popular IMHO. I also read some good things about Ghost CMS.
