blogspot is one of the most under-rated platforms, I don't understand why people are not using it. It's completely free, you don't even need to buy a domain. But if you need a custom domain then you can also attach that. No need to buy hosting, No HTTPS needed all comes with it. Just try it and start your blogging journey.

Are you talking about self-hosted ones? Because it will always be Wordpress. If I may ask, why are you looking for an underrated blogging platform? Is it for your money site or for t1 links?
There is a platform called "Ghost" that's getting more and more popular. It's open source. Plenty of tutorials on Youtube already on how to use it. Check it out here https://ghost.org/

I just did a ghost blog you can get a pika container for like nothing a month and run it that way, doesn't have access to ssh tho which is kind of annoying but very easy to deploy. Anyway I love the feel of ghost blog but not as customizeable as WordPress unless custom code a theme or whatever.

One limitation I observe with Blogspot is its URL structure, which incorporates the date of post.
Now when you update an existing post with new/additional information, you may want to keep the original URL to preserve its search engine ranking and any existing shares. But the original date in the URL can create a misconception that the post has not been updated.

Fouthwall is my favorite site right now, and they have a blogging membership site, if you have a youtube account you can link up? You can sell all kinds of merch products there, and offer services, and also membership and do a few posts too. Its defiantly a gate way to lead people to your paid content though, if you think its good enough.
