Being rich in the 3rd world

someone mentioned the domincan republic ?
where the USD buys a ton of DR pesos
where some of the most exotic and erotic women are born
where u can live like a king on a few thousand pesos
where you can actually hire cops to escort you anywhere on the island

yeah i think thats where i want to move to...........:plane:

I've been checking into Cebu big time. Houses there are relatively cheap, it'd be easy to set up an office for outsourcing, and I'm into Filipino Martial arts. The airport looks decent and - after having been burned in the US - the fact that Fili women can't divorce you is a selling point. Thailand, The Philippines, and Panama are at the top of my list now.

From someone on the ground (not in Cebu but close) I can tell you that living in The Philippines can be challenging and rewarding at the same time.

The power grid leaves a lot to be desired. If you live in a low priority baranguay you will experience blackouts on a semi regular basis. In some cities like mine (100,000 people +) we have scheduled brownouts every Sunday. If there is a severe blackout, you can lose a lot of food to the hot weather unless you have a generator.

The internet even in the city is not that great and expensive. I pay almost US70.00 monthly for 512 K. There are cheaper plans, but their service is awful. The general consensus here with broadband (1M) is as long as you are getting 60% of what you are paying for you should be happy

Gasoline costs about US1.50 a liter. This equates to about US6.00 a gallon. Propane is quite a bit cheaper though for cooking and charcoal is cheap too.

Food in the grocery store is expensive, especially if it is imported. You can get whatever you want here except for Pinto beans and a few other things. I bought a kilo 2.2 pounds) of chicken wings today at the meat counter for about US3.00 and a 750ml bottle of Wesson Canola oil for about US6.00 We have Oreos, Doritos, Hunt's BBW sauce, Dole and Del monte products, hershey bars, Coke, Pepsi, 7Up and A&W root beer if you look hard enough.

A big Mac Meal supersized at McDonalds is about US3.75, We have Pizza hut, KFC, Shakeys, 3 Tacos Bell's in Quezon City, TGIFridays, Chilis, a Hard Rock and many other US brands.

Immigration is easy, but you keep on paying for it every other month. The first 21 days is free then you have to go for an extension for 38 days for about US75.00 you can keep extending every 2 months for that amount plus an express lane fee of US25.00 - funny thing is there is no slow lane. You can stay up to 2 years, but if you stay over 6 months there are all kinds of new hoops to go through including getting an Alien Registration Card with photo ID (this is new this year). Of course you can bypass this with an investors visa, a retirement visa, or a Special Employment Generation Visa. If you get married to a Filipina you can get a 13A visa.

Forget owning property unless you own part of a corporation. A foreigner can generally only own 40% of a company. Even if you are married to a Filipina, you can't own land. If she dies before you you are at the mercy of HER family unless you have kids and only if they are above the age of 18, otherwise the land cannot be in their name. A lot of famliles will treat you like an ATM machine. As a foreigner, you are expected to help the family in some way because you owe it to them. Could be a number of things, a house, school tuition, medical bills... you name it!. Nothing will piss you off more than becoming the designated slave for a whole family that think they hit the lottery when their girl found you.

Labor is cheap, but generally there is a reason why. You will not get the same work ethic that you will elsewhere. They have plenty of fevers, LBM (loose bowel movement), and deaths in the family. They are trainable to an extent, however they will never think on their feet and come up with unique ideas. A graduate of a good school with a bachelor's degree in computer science will cost you about US400 a month and will know how to code, but the creativity is not there. If you expect to have someone that will live up to your expectations (especially if you are Type A) then you are sadly out of luck.

Tried to post the positive aspects, but for some reason my post triggered the moderation filters

I was born and raised on the Mediterranean side of Turkey and moved to the US for education on my own 2 years ago. Turkey is considered a developing country, and although it's a majorly Muslim country, it's undoubtedly the most modern country whose population is majorly Muslim. I'm gonna list some pros and cons (based on someone earning $100/day) I come back to my hometown every summer, and it's a touristic city that tourists from Europe see as a party town and raid every summer. Realize that these prices are expensive for Turkish that live in touristic places, and that in some other parts of Turkey, you could live off of much less.

Pros:

* Cheap food ($6-8 tops for a good meal unless you are really into luxury) and rent ($450/month nice ass 2+1 apartment flats that have pools that are at 3-5 mins of walking distance to the beach and the city centre)
* You could buy a villa for around $70k that has an amazing view and is close to everything
* You can get away with not paying tax if you're making your money online easily
* Good overall and cheap internet, I pay around $30/month for 8mbit unlimited DSL here
* Very ineffective laws regarding anything warez, you're practically DMCA-free
* You have all kinds of girls as Turkey is a diverse country in terms of descents, plus you have the tourist girls are down for fun
* AMAZING CLUBS. And I mean amazing.
* 1 US Gallon of standard unleaded 'gasoline' around $5 - Diesel costs more.
* Bread is awfully cheap as it's perhaps the most eaten thing in Turkey. You pay around 50 Cents USD for a 300 grams loaf of bread.
* A pack of Marlboro Light is $5
* Cheap and good public transportation (might not be the most comfortable always though)
* Amazing beaches
* Warm and hospitable people, and Turkish people are usually extra nice to the foreigners
* Relatively low crime rate, safe to be out up until the morning even for women usually
* Weather here is always good, especially in the summer. We have summer practically for 4-5 months of the year and our winter is pretty much like a fall (remember I'm speaking about the Mediterranean side and my city specifically)
* Lots of historical places if you are into that
* Great food overall, Turkish cuisine is underrated
* In a nutshell, Turkey is a country of European and Asian culture blended together

Cons:

* Police can be corrupt sometimes
* Bribing happens
* Gas is expensive, you pay around $2/liter
* Brand name stuff is usually expensive but we also have amazing quality replicas of the famous brands
* Language might be a problem if you don't live in touristic areas
* Traffic is kinda shitty in some areas
* Alcohol is pretty much just as expensive as it is in the US, unless you go for non-imports

I'm a professional poker player and in my community, lots of players from the 1st world (U.S., West Europe) have moved to 3rd world countries. Thailand is especially popular among us.

It's not that we don't earn enough to support our lives in our home countries. I earn $5,000-10,000 monthly and could live comfortably pretty much anywhere. The main reason why we move is the climate. Anyone making money online has the enormous advantage to work from any place in the world, which is a dream come true as you don't have to be part of this 8AM-6PM rat race.

In my country the climate is shitty as hell - summer lasts 3 months, still with lots of rain and clouds, the rest of the year is cold, cloudy, with rain or snow. I can move to some tropical or sub-tropical country and live there at a much better life quality level. Lots of 3rd world coutries have their touristic zones, where you can expect services/safety quality to be comparable with those in the 1st world countries. And you get much better weather along with them.

If everything goes well, I am moving to Canary Islands by the end of the year.

the fact that Fili women can't divorce you is a selling point.

It is true that your Filipina wife cannot divorce you, but she can have you snuffed for less than US 100! I have a friend that ended up in the hospital. seems his wife was lacing his coffee creamer with rat poison. True story.

Still trying to post the positive aspects, but this site is tight! I can't justify the 97 dollars to be able to post useful information at this time

I also stay in Thailand, but a Non-O Immigrant visa is only granted to people who have family or children that are Thai nationals.

Indeed. I have 1 year non immigrant 'B' business visa, and a work permit so i can officialy work in Thailand. I still have to do a visa run every 3 months to get a new stamp. Literally walk into Cambodia, turn round and walk back into Thailand.

go figure!:D

Well, well, as for me? I live in a 3rd world country. The minimum daily wage is about $7. Beat that! So earning $500-$1000 is a dream and everybody will be talking about you. Guess what? The tax revenue agency will never ever questioned where you get the money. What I earn online is not charge with any tax at all.

You can live like a king with $1,000 a month and with women both on your right and left hands. How's about that? :)

where do you live if i might ask...?

I guess hated is a wrong choice of word. More like suspicious of any move you make especially if you're 'coloured' as they say...
some people can't understand this.. that is why u needed an explanation.. we don't all live the same life in amerikkka.. feel me?
history is not just a story that died.. it is alive and well making more HIS story..
3rd world rocks! The reason is elf explanatory.

I lived in Canada for over 8 years, before I moved. IT FUCKING SUCKED!

Cops evrywhere. People are jealous, everybody tries to take advantage of you

nrighbours call the police when you buy a ferrari, then they come over and inquire your proof of income.

Fucking tax inspections with all the cocksuckers that say taxes are for our own good(GO FUCK YOURSELVES all who think that).

And I dont need to show my fucking ID in a restaurant that I visited for one year suddenly because somebody says so. I fucking decide when I am going to drink or not on my own terms.

Also in Vancouver there are cops(at least a dozen) harassing evryone that park is closed everyone must leave. LOL Illegal to stay on the beach after 9pm to watch sunset!!!!!!!!!! LOL that is a developed FREE country? ROFLMAO

American countries dont even smell like freedom. Nobody has the right to know how much money I make under no circumstances and I have the right to whatever I desire at all times without infringing the rights of others(thats a God given right).

US, Canada, UK has the worst everything. I mean everything fucking sucks: clubs, restaurants, GMO foods, police, harassment at customs, worlds shittiest banks, property sucks(fuck taxes I am not paying rent to the govt for million dollar apts), fucking cops.

Third world is the best, THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL GOODLIFE by being able to afford anything you desire at all times without being harassed. And 3rd world offers just that.

Not like being in a policde database after bying a $1k champagne bottle in Vancouver after the club records you on camera and sells the record to cops. GUYS stuff like this IS FUCKED.

Props to third world all the way!

Somebody is awake.. good to see everyone is not a sheeple on the thread.. but then you really only need to wake up if you live in the NWO or amerikaa /canada/mexico/uk... the 3rd world was named 3rd from people that wanted you to feel last..... 1st is anything outside of "lets take other peoples sh&* and call it ours and put demonic status up everywhere and have people celebrate it on july 4th, Thanksgiving (taking) and jan 1st
IMO

There are always rich people and poor people in all countries and all societies.

i was in mexico for a month, living on blackhat earnings. it was pretty awesome to say the least. people treated me the same as any tourist, like they want your money. definitely a lifestyle i could get used to lol. i imagine it would be different in a place where there are no tourists, and you really stand out.

Where I come from, 2-3k USD per month would put me in top 10%.
Sure, not top 2% but close enough. A $300 a day blogs for instance; well - I could get in high top 2% with no prob.
Nearby country, that amount would be 2-3X better than here. So, basically net money is considered "easy" here as opposed to real jobs.

Where are you, and why don't people post that when they respond like this?
If you don't want your exact location posted, that's cool, but please post the country and any locations in it that you might recommend.

Can I live like Donald Trump without getting ripped off outside the US? I hear it is terrible for foreigners who live lavish. Every corner you turn someone is trying to separate you from your money, from the servants to the chauffeur to the security team. Anything you buy or any service provided you would be just one big MARK:ugh2: :firedevil :help: :rip:

Go to places like Detroit with your money. It's where all the poor is located in the US.

Same problem though - if you live like Trump in detroit, you'll get jacked. I'm waffling on the locale. I kind of think that someplace (almost anyplace) in the Rural US would work - get satellite internet if they don't have broadband, take a cheap old farm and build it up to have all the amenities you want (like a pool, private airstrip, turn a garage into a bar, etc) settle for a 'vette instead of a Lambo and an Escalade instead of a Mercedes, and you're golden. My logic is that women will flock to money no matter where you're located, all you need is some luxuries and offer her a life of leisure. Seriously, that "Blackhat Lounge" whorehouse-in-Nevada idea that I joked about is sounding more and more inviting. Rural Nevada is cheap. I could pick and choose my employees if I offer them good deals, use them as models, even have them work as cam-whores. Hmmm....

lol i m also from india and trust me the condition isnt that bad as it seems i do agree most of the basic jobs do have a paycheck of $100-$300/mo but there are also jobs paying close to $3000/month for dedicating 12hr/day... now a city like mumbai is the most expensive city in india where people have to shell out $1,100,000 to own a flat in rich areas which is known as island city and the minimum that needs to be shelled out for owning a flat in mumbai is $65,000. so i wouldnt particularly consider india in the 3rd world country when the current population of mumbai itself is 13 million ;-)
