Beginning Content Creation

Hello all,

I've been fascinated by the threads on this website and have finally worked up the nerve to give content creation a go. What better place to go, I thought, then here?

Where do I start? How do I advertise myself? Should I focus on a niche?

I imagine I'll receive some unkind remarks and that's fine. It's expected.

If anything, I would like to think of this thread as a place where all of the great entrepreneurial minds on BlackHatWorld could give their opinions on what works and what doesn't.

Start by reading all the guides that's been stickied on top. Read the white hat forum and the black hat forum. Read all the guides you can find.

You should always focus on a niche. Start with a very specific niche first.

Some will say you should find all your keywords at first before starting. I say, find your niche, some main keywords, some long tails and get researching and writing.

participate in threads and let your name be known, after three months and an amassed 100 posts, spend 100 bucks on acquiring jr-vip status and 30$ on a marketplace thread for your content writing!

To get your foot in the door, I would recommend making part of your offering a try-my-service-out article for cheap. Get some reviews and recurring customers. When people find a content writer that's good, they stick with him/her.
