Been Almost A Year Since My Heart Attack

Congrats man, you are showing a fuckton of willpower and commitment... I wish my mom would do the same as she's been on her 4th heart attack...
BTW, keep rockin'!

@DR_Zoidberg most things are going well , food, walking, buy today i got
some bad news i have to fix, my weight rose from 10 stone 8 to 11 stone 2
in the last year now this is due to sweets/candy.

now - ive stopped smoking a year ago - no red meat, no piza ect
but i replaced dropping smoking with eating a bag of these a week
and over 12 months its added up to 7lbs gained. this will not do.
i gained 7kbs in a year on candy that replaced smoking, now i have
to loose the candy or at least cut the amount right back

I feel you mate. The way I see it, smoking is not just about nicotine addiction, but also the actual habit of keeping your hand busy while putting something to your mouth, stuff like that.... Maybe you just need to find another form of addiction... One that is not impacting your health :)

As far as cardio go, true, don't over do it. Even if you were 100% ok with your health it would be too good. As in everything you need to find the right balance

The spin bike will help a lot
I picked it because it has very low impact on the joints as well (unlike running) and its fun
if you have the budget to get a peloton or any smart exercise bike they have a screen and shit that shows u live classes and its very fun to follow

good job on the walk though! wish I had the patience to do that lol

@zionbar . after my attack last Nov the cardio team at my local hospital
req i do 50 mins a day arm / leg exercises in the home for first 3 months
IE Dec - end March. this got very boring very fast.

so i said fuckit - and using google maps, i mapped out a walk and did
half a mile for 1 month daily. then each month, upped the distance half
a mile.

ive now reached a point at 4.5 miles a day i think is plenty for me, i do
20 mins daily in door weights....yeh ive but on 7lbs with candy replacing
smoking - but i think i can fix that. my camera is 10 yrs old forgive
the pic quality, its not the best

Replace these with aspartame or erythritol, if you gain weight so easily. Add cantaloupe and pineapple on top.

Sugar is for poor people anyways who can't satisfy themselves with something real.

I don't want to be mean, but cutting red meat and all that stuff to eat some super processed sugar sounds like nonsense.

@reaaski i think you missed the point
i hit every target i was asked to by my heart specialist,
eat salads , lots of chicken , fish, i never ate red meant to begin
with . lots of walking, i quit smoking.

and your gonna throw insults because i change my smoking for
candy, but went a little over board. i will remove those 7 lbs
gained over 12 months. its a learning experience.

and eating candy is for poor people is a dumb remark. people from all
walks of life eat candy. and prior to my quitting smoking a year ago, i
was never a candy eating guy. it just happened and ill fix it.

this made me laugh - so people who take sugar in there tea / coffee
can't satisfy themselves --- what a crock ,

Code:

This one line is true. I'm curious how you didn't find out sweeteners are the alternative for fit people. And how did you take it as an insult despite me saying I don't want to be mean.

It's something you can observe in the real world. Poor people get the most of their calorie intake from sugar and bread. They simply can't afford a lot of calories from protein and fat.

ide say over all i get by ok.

my breakfast 7 days a week, porridge oats with a slice of toast & orange juice.

Monday evening meal salad with steamed chicken
Tuesday evening meal bacon sandwich.
Wednesday evening meal salad with a piece of steamed cod
Thursday evening meal, minced beef and union pie with cauliflower/broccoli
Friday evening meal salad with a fish cake,
Saturday evening meal, salad cobs/bread roll
Sunday evening meal, steamed chicken with cauliflower/broccoli and potatoes

its eating a poor life - anyone spare a slice of card board
i need to make 1/2 small adjustments, nothing i cant fix

I was sitting thinking , when it dawned on me, its been almost a year since
my heart attack and heart surgery im still here, had a chat with my Doctor on
the phone today there gonna drop 2 of my 6 medications. YAY ME
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/heart-attacks-are-a-bitch.1283642/
I was also commended for doing what most people promise, but struggle to do
i quit smoking 1 year ago, im on a 90% weekly diet of salad, fish, chicken.
and i am allowed 1 bacon and egg sandwich per week.

They told me, if you stop everything that's bad for you, your more likely to go
back to the things you missed rather than just having a little here n there helps
fight the cravings.

I was outta breath while talking to my doctor on the phone, he asked are you ok?
i simply replied im out on a 5 mile walk i do it 3/5 times a week. he simply replied
good for you.. i don't do half measures . its all or nothing .

Still, im grateful to be here heading to Christmas 2021 - there is no fail
there is no quit, there is no cant, there's only fcking DO IT.

I leave with this thought, i have a few friends on BHW and a few people
who like to ride my back, to my friends i thank you for your support over
the last year, and to my other [ FANS - SARCASM ] if your hoping ill fail
that bus left a long time ago. I dont do failure . thanks guys

each night i as i sit here working - i listen to this b4 i goto bed,
keep your friends close and your enemies closer .

Brother, you need to start smoking weed, so you get paranoid about your health, so you are 1000% sure to skip all sugar and have turbo-paranoid drive to escape anything harmful.

First off, thanks for sharing your story. Behind all the jobs, careers, money, skillsets, are real human beings. I've always said that since covid took front and center stage, people often forget that we have bigger problems in Heart Disease and Cancer which has been around a lot longer than covid and has plagued humanity a lot longer. It just seems sometimes we aren't doing enough to combat these 2 biggest non-natural killers of humanity.

Of the 55 million humans that die every single year on this planet, 20 million are due to HD and Cancer. They are both the number 1 and 2 causes of death outside of natural causes. America for the longest time has led all nations in these 2 categories as well because of processed foods. The poorer nations actually still lived off of mostly natural foods / agragrian so they actually didn't have problems with HD and cancer (of course their problems were disease and starvation). But in the industrialized nations, HD and cancer rates have skyrocketed as if this is supposed to be normal.

If you have ever noticed that even the poorest people in africa always had very nice teeth for their situation, it was because they weren't consuming processed sugar. But kids in america had all kinds of dental problems from childhood (think of all the cavities you've had) and these african kids have none. Of course, things are changing now as all nations have processed foods, fast foods, and they are now also having ridiculous rises in HD and cancer rates.

It almost seems like we are programmed to accept this way of life. HD and cancer is not natural. We aren't supposed to have these diseases or conditions. If we are eating natural healthy foods, getting daily physical exercise, and having a good mental/emotional state by having good relationships with people/family/community and having a meaningful purpose to your life (and not being stressed and depressed which increases your risk of these and other diseases/conditions), we'd be much better off. But it seems like we have accepted it as normal that we should be consuming so many unhealthy foods (and dependent on medicine/drugs) out of convenience and cheap costs but we pay the price with our health later on (or some much sooner).

It just seems unacceptable to me that it's okay to kill people "slowly" and not consider it a crime but if you want to kill someone quickly, it's a crime. I think everything should be held responsible and accountable for contributing the diseases and it's about time we start bringing it to light. They have already done it for yeas now attacking the tobacco industry for their contributions to cancer and HD, but it's time we start calling out the food industry, manufacturers, and govts that are contributing to all of this. Most of you already know there's a very long history and dark stories the history of the food industry and how in order to make more money and profits put everyone's health at risk but of course, only the people are held responsible and not the ones who are manufacturing the junk that is out there.

I can give you a good suggestion of something you can add to your diet that will benefit you tremendously. Add it 2-4 tablespoons per day of Hemp seeds. That has an enormous about of vitamins for being barely a bite of food. I use a nutrition calculator website called Cronometer.com . I plug in my food and see which vitamins I am missing or how much vitamins certain foods have. Run it by your doctor but this is an enormous addition to your diet.
