Bitter ?Dude maybe you should be first aware that 70% of bhw members have to be unsucessfull so the other 30% can be successfull.
Why do you think pro's stopped posting serious good methods ?The answer is that the cake isnt big enough

As with all walks of life otherwise there wouldn't be street sweepers, retail assistants etc. Not that there is anything wrong with these trades but if we were all successful business people then who would do the labour for us??

Where did you get these figures from?

Why do any members of BHW need to be unsuccessful in order for the others to be successful?

And as far as the cake not being big enough. There are 100s of billions of dollars being spent online - how big do you want the cake to be?

EDIT: I just checked and current ecommerce spending is well above $1 trillion - you'd need a very large number of IMers for that cake to be too small

I've touched on CPA & PPD but never really got into it. I was looking for long term income online and most of the methods shared just give a short term return.

Well there is no guarantee on the long term. For sure not with general SEO. Much more stable with paid traffic but of course, even that can change overnight. Not nearly as likely though.

If long term is your preference, then I agree with the guy who said switch to paid traffic. The tough part is financing it all upfront until you learn enough to make it work. But once you've got something that works, you can scale it up. I would DEFINITELY put part of your effort into that.

LOL again somebody else posting the cake is big enough.
Why is very simple to answer.BHW is #1 webmaster board. So you can assume that more than half wont be really successfull.
Why cause maybe you should at least once check the ecommerce volume and after that the amount of webmasters/freelancer/ecommerce/hobby webmasters and maybe if you understand math at a minimum ......MAYBE you would stop posting such stupid questions.

By biggest question is, if you have been an IM'er since 1997, and now think it is no longer viable, why have you joined BHW in 2014?

Hey Stu.

I haven't read the replies, so I'll just say it anyways. Keep at it, and try to be innovative. Regardless of how "competitive" an industry is, innovation, creativity and perseverance will put you ahead of the pack. Not like you want to be part of the pack anyways! :)

I know that's vague, but what may seem like a sure-fire thing has probably already been done. This is when innovation comes in handy. Keep an open-mind, a positive attitude and hard work ethic. Look at things from different angles. Not only that, but look at the WORLD from different angles. What's an industry that you think still needs to be tapped into, regardless of everyone saturating it? I'm not sure if you're interested in starting your own business online, but digital entrepreneurship is in it's absolute PRIME right now, at least in my opinion.

There are "methods" to make money online, but you need to learn how to incorporate your own twists and ideas. No body will share a technique with you until they have already made tons of money off it it, which in my opinion, deems it kind of useless. But it isn't useless if you throw some twists into it. As a known saying goes, to have what you've never had, you have to do what you've never done.

And a handy quote from The Rock himself:

"Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent, hard work gains success. Greatness will come."

It's best not to give up, ever. Because if you do, you could have potentially been the closest you ever were towards the goal/success. If you give up, you will never know how far you could have gotten, how successful you would have been, and you will become a weaker person. I don't need to mention how many famous names have failed, but tried and tried again.

Anyways, that's just a little rant. A couple minutes of my time, to you.

Cheers and have a good one.

But however many people on BHW are not successful, the success of the others is not dependant on that.

I did check the 'ecommerce volume' - it's over $1 trillion dollars per year. You are the one plucking numbers out of the air, not me.

And yes, I am saying that a $1 trillion dollar cake per year is plenty big enough - and that cake is getting bigger every day.

If you are not getting a slice of that cake, it's not the cake's fault.

WOW, I've started something here!

Oh well, back to pizza! lol

I enjoy your cake metaphors.

I never claimed its not viable for me .I claied for 70% of people it wont be viable.I got the advantage that i work on im for over 17 years now and have hugh experience, resources, money, important contacts .
I joined bhw just for inspiration as sometimes you can pickup an idea and implementing it to your own strategy. But this wont change that the quality of majority content at bhw is just poor. You can k*ill me for that but its just peanuts or like i say dung as people who run behind the herd just its their sh*it.No real inovation or anything but not because here is a lack of some good webmasters but because they are not willing to share it anymore because of 3 reasons.
1.quick saturation
2.smaller cake
3.own afford/resources to gain knowledge

So you are here to get ideas and methods from other people?
And because people aren't sharing their methods and ideas (which they are by the way), you are saying there is no innovation?

Innovation is creating your own methods, not copying other people's

And your point 2 - 'smaller cake'. The cake is getting bigger, not smaller.

And yes, I am saying that a $1 trillion dollar cake per year is plenty big enough

First a simple question for you Mr Economics .You are aware of the diffrence between volume and profit ?Volume is not the cake but profit

But lets even take your 1 trillion cake .So lets say a normal income would be just $2000 .That would be $24000 per year. This means that arround 40.000.000 people worldwide could earn that money via internet and we have to cut out all the big companies. Each and every big company like ebay, paypal, big ecommerce websites etc ........ no more big websites who make more than $2k per month.
Now have a look how many internet users are worldwide arround 3.000.000.000 .Thats means if you take out all of the big and better earners and accept a max income of $2000 per month thats means that of all internet users only 1.33% could archive that goal.
Is this simple enough for you to understand why the cake isnt big enough for everyone ?And i already counted volume and not profit.
Now add back the big companies which do the majority of volume and change volume in profit and it will go down to 0.1x-0.0x%

Trepanla bla

learn to read properly.I wrote inspiration......not method as you wont find any method on bhw where you could claim it makes real money.Posting create a campaign on fb make a good roi and scale it up is not a method.
Inspiration means some twists or idea which i can implement on my working methods but i surely dont expect to find a good method at bhw

1. It isn't that a method will get saturated, it is more likely that any BH method will get plugged sooner because companies/sites are getting smarter and monitor BHW. That is the reason why things aren't shared publicly, the attention the forum attracts means methods get patched quicker.
2. The cake is constantly growing. More people and businesses are joining the internet every day. There are tremendous opportunists to offer these people products and services.
3. Not sure what you mean but every business requires investment.

1.bs /a method wont get saturated ?Ha ha what a joke
2.You brains are aware that there are 2 cakes. 1 for the big companies 2 for webmasters and that not only the seize of cake is important but also amount of competition. What does it help if the cakes doubles if competiontion is now 10 times as big.Your part of the cake gets smaller.
3. I'm talking about leechers .In small groups you get something back.In bhw hmmm ......

Damn, just been through your previous posts. Hadn't realised you were just here to troll.
I think you made some easy money in 1997 and are now pissed off that you can't make the same money without working harder.
You didn't grow your business and now have to compete with more people.

Your belive is based on non sense thought instead of facts.
I'm pis*sed about people like you who don't treat IM as real business and talk bs that the cake is enough for everyone. Why do you say thats bs to people who are struggling. You are making them hope that there is place for everyone. This is just not true.Over 70% will fail and they need to know that that there is a high possibility that they are going to fail as the market is limited. In each and every business you need to take hard facts. In IM you just read the permanent BS how big money everyone is doing selling their cra*p for $20 or how effectiv their seo is and selling it as service instead of using it on its own.Its all based on BS.The only one who is going to be the looser is the guy who belive in that sh*it and really thinks he can achive his goal when reading all the bs posts and spending money of diffrent offers beliving in their description cra*p

You just need to have a look at the BST and their titles and claims. This is far far far away from reality

I have never said people won't fail. In fact I agree that the majority of people WILL fail.
The same way that the majority of start ups or offline businesses fail in the first year.

That does not mean everybody will fail.
A true entrepreneur will not be afraid of the competition and will treat failure as a stepping stone to success.

Part of being an entrepreneur is failing. I've easily failed at 90% of the ventures I've invested in. Lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's no shit. BUT, the 10% that hit have made me successful. You can't be scared to fail. If you are, you have no place in this business or any business that involves risk.

I like baseball...

show me a single actual method from bhw which would provide you the same success like you had in the past with cr ag and where you connected with other smart webmasters ?Does it have a reason why you stopped posting good information at bhw like in the past ?
Your picture shows only bhw turned your behavior into a kiddy too since it seems you are now using that kind of picture very often instead of good information. Not the serious john from the past.

I also remember your comments about bhw on pp
