A lot of people seem to be having this problem. To the best of my knowledge, it’s a Tumblr glitch that’s been around for forever. Try refreshing the page a couple times. Even if it doesn’t show up for you, do not fret; Tumblr hasn’t eaten it permanently. It will probably still show up when other people search the tag.
If you’re posting in a popular and often updated tag, chances are you’re post has just been pushed down by newer content.
1: Your post will show up in a tracked tag ONLY if you are the original poster. If you tag a reblog, it WILL NOT show up in a tracked tag.
2: It has come to our attention that it is a very strong possibility that immediately after signing up for Tumblr there is an automatic wait period before your posts can start showing up in tracked tags. I don’t know how long the wait period is for but I’m pretty sure it’s to prevent spam blogs from popping up and clogging up popular tags. If you keep tagging your original content, eventually they will get added to the tag and people will be able to find your blogs that way
3: Only the first five tags count towards being included in tracked tags so use your tags wisely.

The traffic has decreased a LOT for me too (usually, less than 250 uniques a day with 20~30 accounts). Now I'm starting to consider tumblr as a way to drive some people to my other accounts in other social networks. But not to monetize tumblr.
Try waiting a week, posting every 10 minutes.
Now I have 25 nsfw accounts posting every 10 minutes. 1 proxy per account. Every account has their own Avatar / Header Bg, title, some settings enabled. Not following by now.
Why 1 post every 10 minutes ?
This are 6 posts every hour
That are a max of 144 posts per day (6 x 24).
Tumblr limit Original posts to 150 a day.
144 posts x 25 accounts = 3600 posts a day as a max (I also sleep, and I shutdown my pc... So less than this is expected)
I'll report how its going...

Oops, sorry for the delay.
My 25 accounts are still alive... But Engagement is literally 0. Thousands of posts with tags... I have poster, Liker and Follower. But I got 0 followers (my follower only does followback)
I've been rewriting almost all my tumblr code. But I still need to rewrite some scripts. And then I'll have to test them.... After writing them and doing some tests... If I still fail to get engagement then I will definitely stop using Tumblr.
I've also been writing some Instagram / Facebook scripts. (account creator, poster, follower/unfollower, groupjoiner, groupposter etc)
In instagram... I got 5k followers with one account, its banned now. I wasn't using private proxies, just my residential IP, so I haven't used more than 3 accounts. The truth is that I don't like Instagram...
With facebook, I think that I should wait more time before starting doing things... warm it. Because I always end banned just after publishing a post or while joining groups...... I've phone verified some of the accounts. And I'm using TOR (yeah I'm aware of what using TOR implies xdd)

Well, yesterday I was rewriting my liker from the scratch, I have the basic functionality but I don't like the implementation... I think that I'll rewrite the whole "bot" again to make the scripts more similar to my other, and newer scripts (facebook, instagram...). Doing it fucking low on resources / efficient / scalable is hard. I still need to measure some tumblr limits/constraints to better adapt my scripts and to see if multithreading is feasible. I'll first make my liker to go secuentially through accounts...
I took one of my accounts and pushed hard. I did 1000 likes. And 93 Follows. Some reblogs, and some posts... And It started to get some Activity. Tumblr is not completely dead. Lets see how it goes in the next days...

I've found that my liker is fucking slow when I try to scale it. So I'll take another strategy for it and split blog/post scraping, and the liker itself. This will bring reliability back.
Today I've 100% reworked the poster, and it works pretty damn well
Now all my scripts will use http/https/socks4 or socks5 paid proxies or they can also use TOR.
How it's going for you OP ?

Hey I dunno wtf these pricks at tumblr have been doing but even the scraps of traffic I was getting has reducted to 0 and posting every 30 mins on 30 accounts.
I also rewrote all my bots took me several months and got no reward for it so I fucking hate tumblr at the moment. I have invested so much time in this shit tho that I find it hard to walk away. Like how women find it hard to walk out of an abusive relationship due to the time they invested.

Hahahaha, We are in the same boat my friend ! xD
Today I've rewritten my account creator (Now is totally automated, Full autopilot, including email/accountt validation), one script that I call "reconfigure" that I use to set avatar / header / title / some more settings, Fixed a bug in my follower, and also rewritten an script that I call "browser" that I use to navigate through the accounts with the browser through the proxies...
But, I also figured that my old accounts use a different login that my new accounts... Haha, They changed the signup / login to yahoo login, now when you signup with a new email It is bound through OpenID to behave as a yahoo account xD
So now I'll have to rewrite the login part so accounts can do login with new and maybe also with old accounts or directly drop them and create new ones... The good part is that my scripts are gaining consistency, stability, and working better than ever.
May I ask what are u using to write your "bot" ? I'm mainly using python, lxml, re, requests, chromedriver... I'm not using any API or macro suite

Same here I use python. I don't use api ever for any sites. They are too retrictive. People would tell me all the time to 'just use the api' bullshit to that!

I'm at the same boat like you guys. I wrote my Tumblr bot in PHP. It runs on vps and the scripts are executed in cron. I run around 100 blogs. I'm using the api. I feel like since April Tumblr got harder. They ban more than before but I don't wanna give it up because I spent lot of time on writing those scripts. Anyway thumbs up guys!
what does using tor imply?

With TOR you can create socks5 connections, then route your requests through these connection. In other words, FREE proxies.
