Yes, I totally agree with you. When I deal with links in the blog section of my own website,I always used fixed kewyord and had never thought over non-related keywords such as "Click here".Yes, It looks natural and better.In view of google or other SEs,if you deal with your keywords in the natural way,the popularity will be increased and welcome.I will notice about various keywords including non-related keywords inside or outside the website.Always keep various keywords including non-keywords whatever inside or outside my own website.Am I right?(I am Chinese but can understand your posts,你好，Many Thanks!）

The basics are universally the same, yes.

The changes come in the position of which they are placed and how you direct the technique or content within your seo practices.....tweaks on the foundation principles, for a lack of a better term.
 
Wow this are very important basics for the starters in seo. These material helps a lot.
 
This is a great post, I am new in these parts and think we should start a 'updated' guide. I see that a lot has changed since this guide was written and think a revamp would a good idea for members like me who need a idea of what is current now.
