Also to add to understanding your traffics intentions,
People should also think about informational keywords. Such as "how to ____" While these keywords are harder to monetize straight away. They are a lot more interesting in context. So for example if you have a tool review site you can go for something like this
"How to make a table"
Which would at the end have a call to action to the next article. While you could also monetise by selling blueprints.
"Every tool you need for your home workshop"
Here you show the searcher the different types of tools, and link to your review articles. This way the person can use this as a reference as well as if they have let's say a drill they wouldn't particularly be interested in another one but you give them an option for other types of products.
"Best 5 wood routers"
Where you have your tool reviews and try to get the person to click on any of your amazon or any other affiliate links so you can get a commission.
This way you funnel people down to where you make money. You get more keywords to target therefore more traffic potential. As a bonus, articles such as "5 incredible tables you can make at home" are a lot more interesting than a review article. So it is more likely to be shared on social and if it's interesting enough you may even get natural links. so fire up those twitter and facebook bots Haha

I believe what you shared now and its great to look that Content is still and will always be KING but on keywords research,I still go with LongTail keywords which are easy to rank.

great post, but do you think do follow links make such a big part in balancing your backlink profile. I have ranked sites with purely 'do follow' and had no problems. Or are you just doing it as a safety measure to make it look more natural?
