Bare with me a day or two..

may she will be alright soon. just hit BHW if you need any kind of help ,we all are here like family .

Couple of years ago I had a tumour and I was really mashed up, just go with the flow and listen to the docs, the Nhs isn't that bad and she will fine, it's really hard at first I won't bullshit ya but it gets better and I even laugh about it now

Just stay away from the Internet and don't google anything about it as it makes things 126 times worse and most of it is bollox and the docs really do know best

Good luck to your daughter man i hope things go well, im sure everything will turn out fine!

Ox, we (BHW) are with you..Hit me, if you need any help...

It's all weird mate. My mum had cancer of the esophagus and it was the treatment that killed her. The radiotherapy burnt a hole in her windpipe and
she died of pneumonia when I asked why they had stopped treating her they said there was no point and they would just administer pain killers now.
With Thyroid cancer it is dealt with by a thyroid specialist, they remove the thyroid and she will be on tablets the rest of her life to replace what the thyroid does.
Morgan my daughter is 21 and thyroid cancer is more prevalent in women the men but normally woman over 30.
The hospital says it is becoming more common in younger women and they don't know if this is because detection methods are getting better or it is becoming more widespread.
Morgan has never touched a cigarette in her life, my mother was smoking two days before she died saying "No point in giving up now!".

Sorry to hear, my Mum passed on from breast cancer, chemo made her so weak that it was counter-productive, that was hard enough - I can't begin to imagine my children with it. They can easily cut the thyroid out in most cases, I hope they can do this for your child and avoid chemo and radio.

All you can do is keep strong and carry on - like you are.

sorry to hear that man, especially because she's too young
but cancer seems that doesn't choose properly anymore
hope she will recover soon
best wishes to whole your family

I haven't been around for a week or so as I had some really bad news concerning my daughters health.
4 years after watching my mother die from cancer of the esophagus my
daughter has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
So I've had my head up my arse for a week or so as it hit me pretty hard.
I've pulled myself together a bit and will now answer all the PMs I've had and pay my bills, don't fret I ain't gone anywhere.
They say thyroid cancer is the best cancer if any but it knocked me for six
for a while. Now I know the implications and she is going under the knife on the 18th I feel I can go on with life a little.
I'm not looking for sympathy, just letting members know why I haven't been replying to message.

My thoughts go out to you and your family... If I can recommend some information that truly helps and should be implemented in you and your families lifestyle, so cancer never comes back, might I suggest you check out the The Gerson Institute http://www.gerson.org/ and watch this documentary on Netflix "Dying to Have Known" by Garrett Kroschel

Also, if you have

I'm an NHS trained registered nurse and can tell you there's cancer and then there's CANCER. Sounds weird I know but if someone you love is going to get a cancer diagnosis pray it's one of the "good" types (like thyroid). Like any big organisation the NHS has some jerks working in it. Some of them don't deal with families of cancer patients well but when it comes to what really matters - healing the patient - the system really goes to work and is one of the best in the world. Your daughter is in good hands and I'm sure she'll make a full recovery. Thoughts, prayers and good wishes to you.

Family first always. I hope she feels better and if you need any help, please feel free to message me.

Our thoughts are with you and your daughter. I have 2 children and when something happens to them you just wish it was happening to you instead.

I Pray the Surgery Was a success Ox and I continue to pray that you will show strength within this moment of weakness.

Ox it does not matter here age if 2 or 52 she will always be your little girl.

For most the word cancer is the scariest word in the english language. I would rather swim in the Nile River than hear that one of my kids or grandkids had that disease. It would be a lot less scarier.

After this is all over you will sit back and laugh about it as her life will continue as normal.

I'm really sorry to hear that man..Keeping your family in my prayers. Just always remember this:

"For every dark night, there's a brighter day"
