Banned With 1,476 Links as a Gift ?

Hi Guys and Gals,
I was wondering if some of you SEO gurus could help me out with respect to the indexing of my site, or should I say lack there of. I'll give you a little bit of background before I ask my questions :
My new site (Bandposters.org) has been online since Sept 21, 2011. I have been manually building links diligently, to the point that I have quite a few links from pages with PR 3,4,&5. In Yahoo and Bing, my site cycles between the 3rd or 4th position on page 1 for my targeted keyword (band posters). Here is the dilemma, even though I am very happy with the performance in Yahoo, it's not even indexed in Google. Is this common not to be indexed for such a long time given the quality of backlinks, and good performance in other search engines? I have 10 blog posts with good and original content, site map is ok, robots.txt is ok, site pings every time a change happens, and all affiliate links are cloaked through a php file. Furthermore, in the last couple of days (Dec. 1, 2011), I was slapped with an administration ban due to spamming phpbbacademy.com and startrekguide.com. Interestingly enough they were kind enough to give me 1,467 do follow links as a consequence, each one is a page telling me that my IP has been banned and that I am a bad person in general:naughty:
My two questions are :
1) Did I purchase a domain that has bee targeted previously by Google, and now will not be indexed? Is that possible? (Since I have found older links to Bandposters.org that are not mine)
2) Are the 1,476 backlinks an attack on my site by phpbb site network to make Google think that I am a spammer and therefore an attempt to downgrade me in rankings?

I thank-you for any response or replies. Any help or info on my dilemma would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind that 10 weeks ago I was Googling "what's Wordpress", 6 weeks ago I was Googling "what's a backlink", and 2 weeks ago I was Googling "what's a Google sandbox"?so I am kinda new to all of this. I really don't care if Google kicks me in the nuts, since this was an introductory website building exercise, but it would be a shame if I could not get it indexed since maybe it could make me some pizza money

Are you sure that you have not blocked Google from your privacy settings in Wordpress?

Although most people on here are great, i would suggest editing your post to remove your niche and website, just incase some1 decides that it is easy to compete with you and goes for it.

Like the guy said above - check your wordpress settings first. I once had this problem and tried for so long to get listed in Google for sooo long.

It is very strange that your site is not listed, and if it's not your wordpress settings, I would say you are banned for whatever reason. Usually bans don't last for long tho.

The domain name has no PageRank value, it is LIKELY to be banned.
The domain name has no records with Google. It is either new or MAY BE banned.


add the domain to webmaster tools and do a reconsideration request for it. Tell them you are the new owner and will never ever do anything bad because you love Google and wished they were your daddy.

yes ask google directly

i think you can wait for a moment and in this time, you can write some good articles to high authority site.such as some news site .

the purpose of this method is to attract google spides.

It seems that your website is not accessible

It doesnt take that long for the google to index ur site, somewhere you might be blocking google to access ur website

Thanks for all your responses. Privacy settings were always set to allow search engine access. Site has been registered with webmaster tools since day one, however I could not get any data for the site analysis through webmaster tools. I submitted a reconsideration today. Will see what happens. Thank-you for your responses.

Well your robots.txt states:

Which basically means: don't index my site you evil search engine.
