Hello guys,
I am new here but now in the field of SEO. I found help nowhere to at last resorted here.
Last month, from 21st of October, my website lost 90% of its traffic. As of now, articles were original and images were also original. Some articles were Silo but the keywords were different. What do I need to do next in order to recover my traffic? I am feeling hopeless as of now. Please help me out!
It's the worst feeling ever, I know! I kind of agree with what most people are saying on here, so what I'd do is wait it out for now and don't do anything drastic just yet, as I have been where you are a couple of years back at a big update and went from 28K a month volume to 100, and I waited it out, tidied up some pages, removed some links, added new content, and just waited. But as I waited, I started on another site just in case.
My site came back a month later and ranked again in the old positions not 100% but over time i got it back to the same traffic
So if I were you, I'd wait it out but buy a new domain and get it indexed and ready just in case you need to do the 301.
Get a similar name, similar title tag, and similar description, and get it indexed, as it's so slow to index these days, so at least you will be ready to rock and roll if you have to. If your site does recover nothing lost except the price of a domain name that you can either build out or leave for an emergency in case of another time
I'm still undecided about this update; I was hit, but not all pages were hit; some pages remain in the same positions, while others have tanked; So, I'm just cleaning up the pages and trying some things out while waiting.
It's the waiting that's the killer
