Shitty blog comment links, forum posts, etc. Basically anything that looks like an overt attempt to game the system and Google can tell that's what you're doing.

Unlikely to really make a difference your site will be spidered by all sorts of bots daily.
PNB links that google can detect as an attempt to game the system can hummer a website big time, and can lead to manual action. A lot of blog comment links, forum posts are ignored by google, they don't do any damage but you're not getting any boost either. If you do them do it manually on trusted highly relevant websites. Traffic bots have zero influence on ranking.

are you talking about apps that you install on your pc and comes through dif proxies and visit different pages on your site to increase your CTR? if so, yes, they do damage your ranking.

For seo, no not at all. Google mostly doesn't know about your traffic. It's something it can't get it's hands on (for the most part).

What is your bounce rate reports showing you?
Then switch off the bots and compare bounce rate and that might answer you.
copy and paste content and bad links always damage website ranking. Fresh content gives good ranking
