Bad Old Reviews on an aged domain

I'm looking for some advice. I've got an ecommerce site I've been running for about 4 years but endlessly hampered when I link it on large sites like reddit. The domain in 2010ish was run by scammers and as such got negative reviews all over the web.

I've got decent SE rankings, so I'm trying to decide do I try to get blog reviews and other reviews to counter act them or should I finally switch domains and hope for the best with my rankings holding?

Are you using the aged domain to build a brand or for a PBN?

To build a brand, I've owned and run it for 4 years now building the brand but organic reviews off site haven't really happen.
