Bad links removal

I think my website got attacked 2 years ago and someone tried to pull it down on the serp creating a lot of spamming backlinks.... is this possible?
why me?

How can i be sure this happened? Is there any tool to better verify it?
How can i eventually remove it?

If the anchors are exact match then, yes it's probably a negative seo attack.

Of course, sending bad anchored links, like porn, buy viagra and etc. could also be a negative seo, however, I believe that since all those domains are already spammy, Google would ignore it anyways.

If you can't reach out the webmaster, which you can't in 99% of times, you need to disawow them using the disawow tool.

P.S. If the attack was 2 years ago and you are just aware of it while you have not faced any algorithm or manual hit, then there should not be anything to worry about, since it means that Google have already ignored them.

You can check your backlinks in Google Search Console if you added your site there, also no all links will be displayed there. For external tools I think Ahrefs would be the best one. Then you can Disavow them. Remember to ignore only links that you are 100% sure are spammy, because you may hurt your ranking even more.

Thanks mate, i'm trying to check it with some free tools, and i guess this option is paid on majestic and ahrefs.
In google search console i just see some of them, you can see the pic below:

Honestly, for me these links looks safe. Have you checked domains? What are they

I checked them, some of them yes but some are dead links.
By the way i don't remember where i saw it but i saw viagra and that kind of stuff somewhere in my website analitycs

well, if you saw that kind of stuff, you need to make sure where comes the anchor text from. as previously stated, if you disavow links that are good, then you may hurt your website
