And what service do you usually use for those backlinks?
The $9 was a reference to the cost of registering a domain.
I built (well, specified) a tool that, among other things, monitors the degradation of our PBN nodes. I created a relatively simple scoring system from 0-100, that calculates things like referring IP's, CF, TF, CF/TF ratio, etc, and on the basis of those variables assigns a score.
At a specified interval, it alerts us to PBN nodes with a quality score that is approaching the 'not acceptable' threshold, and we then de-index those domains, and (typically) republish the content on new domains - thereby effectively 'replacing' a degraded node.
Because of the way that I find expired domains, they typically end up being domains that don't degrade particularly rapidly; therefore we don't end up replacing nodes very often. Perhaps a rough average would be 1 node out of every 5 would be replaced inside of a year.
Also how long do you usually wait until actually starting backlinking once the site is done
Not at all. I build money sites on domains that already have back links, so they're not virgin domains.
