Backlinks Newbie Questions

Hi BHW members, first of all i'm a SEO newbie and i'm trying to learn some basic stuffs.
So i have 3 questions :

1. The quantity of backlinks are importent ?
2. Google have o probleme if i have a lot of backlinks ? (let's admit that they are good, good quality backlinks from good websites).
3. How can you convice someone to put your link in their website for free ? is that how it works ?

What is the maximum backlinks you can have to not look spamy ?

It's not just about the amount of backlinks it's the quality and relevance that matters. 1 good relevant link from an authority site in your niche can be worth thousands of crap links.

With regards how to get links, that is the skill. It depends on what type of links you want. Looking at the newbie guide on here is a great start, and there are loads of threads on how to make amazing links here too.

The amount of links you can have and the speed you can make them depends on your site and domain. An older domain with existing authority can take more and more quickly, but a brand new domain will need a slow approach.

If i get backlinks from different niches it doesnt seems spamy ? like let's say i'm the health niche and i'm getting backlinks from a gaming niche ? it's normal or not ?

You have to think, why would a gaming site be linking to a health site, these days relevance really is important. I'm not saying a good authority link from a gaming site won't pass some link juice, but relevance is the biggey . When I say link diversity I mean different links from different platforms such as guest posts, contextual, bookmarks, profile links, social links, niche edits, etc etc. Yes some non relevant ones makes it look natural

Have a look at your competitors, see how much relevance their backlink profile contains
