[Backlinks] How can I approach webmasters for a link exchange?

Hi,

My question is how to approach the owner any website for a link exchange. I that really works. And whats the best way of doing that, I mean choosing websites having same keywords or what??
One more thing my website is PR0 not improving from a quite long time, but i am getting around 100 visitors everyday (95% unique). having some adsense adds on some of the pages and some CPA offers( no way related to my niche. Niche is Save Earth and i din't find offers for that) I havn't had a single conversion from the cpa only a few $$ from the adsense( hardly 10 $ in like 1 month)So tell me what should i do ?? change my cpa network or what type of adds should i try and how to improve my PR?

First search on the engines for sites listed for similar keywords and then go to the sites themselves and see if you can find the webmaster's contact information and send them an email introducing yourself and telling them what your site offers and requesting to exchange links for your mutual benefit.

You can also join link trading sites or look on forums with link trading section for webmasters to trade links with. Also contact webmaster that you have a relationship with to establish trades.
