What do you think about backlinks from the same IP? I mean if there are articles which contain backlink pointing to your site from different blog services (the domain names are different) but IP address of these domains is the same (blog services are hosted on the same server).

Is it a good or bad thing for SEO (Google) ?

I think it can't hurt rankings if there are many backlinks from the same IP...

if 2-3 of your backlinks are from the same IP, it would be ok. I have the same thing. if you overdo it, then it could hurt you.

remember web 2.0 from the same platform have the same IP, and usually people have multiple backlinks from the same platform using different account.

Better you can go with backlinks with different IP'S and Different hosts. There are lot's of options available for that. It's not good if you are getting bunch of links from same IP even the domain names are different

It will hurt your site for sure if you over do it. Two or three links will be fine from same IP. It you build more, it doesn't look natural. Instead you can create links with unique IPs.

Backlinks from the same IP denote that Google can easily smell the footprint and flag your site. Don't use the same IP blogs and it's a kind of negative SEO.

To be honest the answer depends on what kind of backlinks and what kind of platform from. If you try to build PBN type links by over doing it will hurt. But blasting 100s of contextuals or SEO tools like GSA / Senuke it will not be a issue as reffering domain comes from multiple servers.

Definitely hosting all blogs in a same IP will leave a big footprint to the google.

It's OK if you have 2-3 links from one IP.

Google will penalize the sites if it found footprints. Better to go with Unique IPs to avoid such things. Anything natural to the eyes of Google will be good to go.

so if i create multiple blogspot blogs on the same account and link back to my money site, it hurts?

backlinks are created for OFF page seo. and it won't matter if it is only created through 1 IP as in one corporate office. normally there are 50-100 employee using same ip

YES, you should change your IP address because your id can be blocked if you create too many backlinks from the same IP address. Your website can also be D-rank OR D-listed.

A few is fine, i"d say up to maybe 5 from the same IP (assuming you have hundreds of RD's).. More than that is pushing it for sure.. It'll make it look like an obvious link scheme and get you penalized...

More links from the same IP can affect your SEO, making it diversified and relevant for acquiring better results.

2/3 backlinks from same IP won't be a big problem.

In general, Google will consider spamming if you constantly build backlinks from the same IP.

Those links are red flag to search engines and also these backlinks are suspicious and need a closer inspection.

It's Not 'Hurt' as such, but links between your own sites won't count as organic links. Better to have only few links from those sites.
