Hey guys,
I actually find today the domain with backlink from forbes, but it was before 2000 year, and ahrefs didn't see the backlinks, do you guys think the backlinks still will give me some powers?
I actually googled now as like:
link:mylink and there is an 4th place are forbes article where it is dislpayed..
do you guys think that's strange?
Thanks and regards.

Yes why not?

Just start site on relevant niche.

Bonus - if you find out old content from web archive then its great addon.

Make some good links and add some T2 and T3 links (dont do anything in rush) go natural.

I've got links from (Forbes|Inc|BusinessInsider|etc} and they do add authority into your site(s) but the actual expense is nothing you want to pay in general unless you have a serious site that is making you good money.

Otherwise it is a vanity link and fine for you to say, "Hey, I was featured in Forbes!" on your site or some such thing for credibility.

Yes but my question is a different, i'm asking why the backlink not detected on an ahrefs or on some other websites?
i just found it manually and it can't be detected with any backlink checker websites.
so it's means google won't follow backlinks that are older than 20 years?
or it's will still follow and it's will get power to my website?

Just some crawling problem of a 3rd party tool. Get the domain, index it. You can either recreate that page or 301redirect. Then send some social signals and some T2 to the forbes page (as someone said above) and check your link in GSC. Good luck!:)

I guess Forbes only gives nofollow links. So, even if you get it, the rankings won't change. However, if you want to reindex it, then create a blogspot blog, give a backlink to forbes article in a post and submit that post for indexing. Google will crawl all the way to your article and reindex it.

Great Idea, I'll Setup MR to the forbes to get the link crawled. Thank you!
You can indeed use it and it should work well
Let's see, I'll start Journey soon if this post will get 15+ likes.

This is ******** link. like: http://www.site.com so maybe it's because it was 20 years ago it was allowed by forbes? I do research a full day and finally found it, most of these dropped domains are sales at 3000$ on godaddy or some other registrars, so i think i found gold mine :)
Try it and decide what's best for you
We'll Thanks! I'll check it for sure! and will reply on this thread as well.
