if u want to go for long run then definitely it worth because u have to create backlink for your domain attached to shopify store not for the shopify.. but mostly people use paid media for shopify websites..Hey everyone, have you tried backlinks for shopify websites? what do recommend for us who are in it for the long term? My site is 1 month old and I've gotten zero traffic from Google.. aIso feel Woocommerce sites rank better than Shopify stores..

i think if u are on custom domain then only matter is that how u do seo and create backlinks at the end ...plateform doesn't matter

@bodyanyash You're looking for looking for ecom SEO. Start here and here. Ignore the answers you've been getting they're just inflating word count with regurgitated shit they've read.
Most SEO projects would probably swap to WooCommerce or something just because you'll save a few bucks a month that way and if you're going to commit to organic traffic you might as well take the time to figure out a WooCommerce install. If you have a reason to stick with Shopify that's fine too but decide before you start buying links so you're not having to chase dead URLs.
As for 'is it worth buying backlinks' that depends on a load of things. Can you make money buying backlinks to shopify? Yes. But your experience and budget are really going to dictate which keywords you have a hope of ranking for.

Thank you so much! I have not started a shopify website quite yet, so would you suggest woocommerce?

It really depends. People hate on Shopify because of the price tag but if you can't cover the $20/month then the project is a dud anyway. It's easy to setup and you have a shit ton of plugins.
WooCommerce can mean a bit more fucking around but you do get more control over the site and you'll get to use your own host. If you're going for organic traffic and you have the time to spare - I'd probably suggest doing this.
The SEO is going to be pretty much the same process either way.

It's not the 20$ month, that's cheap. It's the percentage and the extra money they take from every sale you make. That cuts the profit margins.

Unless I've just never noticed them billing me extra somewhere I don't think that's a thing? Most of my Shopify sales were through PayPal and you obviously pay a fee there but you pay that anyway. I've never noticed Shopify taking anything extra.
/Edit: Oh shit you're right .5-2% extra on external payment processors. Even more reason to swap.
