Hello,

ermm something weird happened with me. i did like 200-300k backlinks on each of my websites & since then my traffic dropped sooooooooooooo much!!! all on the same day 10th Oct.

now i wonder what can i do to get my traffic back i get less than 20% of my normal traffic now :/

any idea guys ?

Was it all at once? If so - it was a dumb move, you haven't read this forum enough! If you spread it to build up the momentum - it's unlikely you would get slapped. How old were your sites?
Now pray it's just a g dance and keep on promoting, just spread it out and add some other sources. Check if your sites are still indexed, though...

I'm sure its nothing to worry about. I'm sure its just a dance.

Did you ping them too? If you do that many to your site it is probably best to let google find them naturally so they dont all appear within the same few days.

200-300k backlinks :O

Man did you blast Direct?

Do you check your rankings ? What happend with them on the 10 oct ?

why in the heck would you do 200k backlinks in a day
Yes doing this is easy, for any decent SEOer

That should be a sign that you shouldn't do it though

depending on the website, content, and age... that could be overkill. >_<

depending on the website, content, and age... that could be overkill. >_<

I've seen, 3 year old, PR5 websites try this technique in competitive niches only to disappear from results for their target keywords... it's not a good or efficient way to do business

Lol 200k backlinks? Your website better have a huge amounts of backlinks already. But like someone said, it can be the Google dance. Just wait it out and don't change your backlinking strategy.

Dude 200K is too big amount when google look at it... may be considered spam and have banned for a while, but don't worry according to the age of the domain it will come to normal

just wait for a little while.. it may be google dance. One of my sites had been into google dance for 6 months. Good i did try Matt Carter PR7 backlinks, not its back to 1st page!

new rollout of panda came out about then.. however if you blasting 200k+ a day. Hope you have some age about your site and authority and as someone said lots of backlinks. If it is a brand new site I personally doubt it will come back.

As mentioned in this thread it was likely two things.

1. The latest Panda rollout

2. Google Dance as result of so many links

My opinion? Likely option #2.

Sending that many links to a website will throw it into a dance for a while as more and more links become indexed.

Question for you though.......Were all of these links actually placed and active OR was it a Scrapebox blast where you likely had a 1% ratio of successfully placed links?

If you want to get back the traffic, you must know the source of the traffic in the past time.

You need to study analytics from the days prior to your overkill blast, and see if keyword traffic has gone down.

Also, check your serps and make sure they are where they were before.

well i didn't do them in one day... i did in like 1week.
& all sites are still indexed. so i guess its a google dance? but the thing is how long would it take ?
& i stopped backlinking as i can't find that nice big lists lately & wanted to wait after this big bang lol

lol why would you spam 200k links to your website at all...? That makes no sense at all, unless you have been getting a steady link flow everyday for the past year or so
