Can someone please explain to me why.. yesterday when I checked my backlinks i had 160 and now im down to 59? It was sitting on 160 for a few weeks then after i did a scrapebox run I lost half of my backlinks! Are they gonna come back?

When you gathered you had 160 backlinks, was that before or after you started using sbox?

Sounds like you got moderated at the owners of the site deleted your posts.

I'd recommend writing better comments.

greg, who's your avatar. I KNOW i know that face, but can't place it.

Is that like some comedian or something?

yah but why would i lose the backlinks before i started the scrapebox run?

How did you make the 160 backlinks? what method? what type of site? blog? etc,etc

yep like some comedian lol....the late great Bill Hicks. Official site:

http://www.billhicks.com/

A tribute site of mine to comedians, here is one of my favorite videos of Hicks, I think the song that plays during it is by Tool:

edit: I think I'll update my sig now to one of his quotes; thanks for the inspiration kireol

really this is weird.. i have only read success stories with scrapebox here that is why i decided to purchase the product. i guess im just unlucky.

Maybe one of your blog comments was listed in the "recent comments" and finally got bumped off the page by other comments. It would just show on the page with the comment and not throughout the site anymore. Happens all the time.

sbox is a tool - a very powerful tool - but like any tool it can be used improperly. Similar stats have been reported by other users, and also by users of other tools.

The backlinks may or may not come back, my free advice is to keep mixing up your backlink-building methods and over time you can grow them. It's unwise to rely on any single tool or method for all of your backinks.

PM me if you would like more advice than that. Now that Jackie the Jokeman is in your thread it's probably going to devolve pretty quickly.

This is what I was just going to say too, and is the most likely reason, or a variation of this reason,

ie - Forum Profile links deleted, Statusnet sites deleted, other types of links that get deleted when the site admin finds it,
or
Recent comments/most comments/any other type of link that eventually dissappears off the page it was originally on (shoutbox guestbook etc etc)

What you need to know mate is what type of links you had before they dissappeared? Article/your own web2/directory links tend not to dissappear

I bought a hammer. some of my nails went in and some didnt. I threw 450 nails on a board and hit them all with my hammer. only 5 stuck. THIS HAMMER SUCKS! Don't ever buy this hammer.
