Hey! I just started a couple a local business. Any suggestions on some simple free DIY backlinks I can use? Preferably with high DA and ******** links.

I remember some years ago a guy named Rachmanin or something that used to share good links quite often. So, if you find his profile you can find even more free links (I don't know how actual and good they still are, though, as those links are pretty old IIRC)... But anyway, use the search button and you'll find many of them

I would suggest that you look for local directories or local newspapers that cater to your local area.
This will take a little bit more time and elbow grease, but it blows away whatever artificial links you can generate on your own.
You have to understand that if you can get links from tried and known local sources, these go a longer way than a link from Web 2.0 or even the Medium publishing platform.

For a local business, start with local directories and business listings – think Google My Business, Yelp, and local Chamber of Commerce. These are often overlooked but can be goldmines for local SEO.
