backlink question

is it a bad idea to link a couple of my tier two's together?

also....if I'm ranking a money site for a keyword term, and I have another keyword term that say is still relevant but harder to rank for.....since the end goal is traffic.....is it a bad idea to link my money site to say a web2.0 like a quick wordpress I made up that's not a part of my backlinks, just a fresh wordpress and link to that from my money site to keep link juice flowing up higher?

If you mean have your target site backlinked by different tier 2 sites such as a wordpress blog and a blogger blog and then have the blogger blog link to the wordpress blog, yes that is a negative thing to do for you.

That is an old process that worked before about 2008/2009 part of what was called a "link wheel". It was very effective for a while but G caught on and the methodology is a bad one for SEO.

You can test things out for yourself to see what works best for your niche.
