Backlink no longer affect the SERP for my site. Why?

I try to get on the first Page of Google for my website with a long tail keyword (3). My site and keywords are the same. My site is a .info created six months ago. 500 searches per month (Exact match type) on G and the competition is low. I posted 4 articles on EzinesArticles (backlink in the bio) and 2 for Goarticles. My site was on page 3. Three weeks ago, I reposted on EzinesArticles 4 articles and 1 other on Goarticles. But my site is on page 3 of Google again!

I do not ping my articles or my site (no RSS or nothing). All my articles are indexed on Google. I changed the content (unique) and photos on my site 3 weeks ago. I also changed my meta (description and keywords). Every change I make has not been indexed on Google. The old description still appears in the results of Google searches. Normally the changes are made 1 or max 2 weeks when I put articles on EzinesArticles.


It seems that backlink no longer affect the SERP for my website. What's happening?

Maybe the websites ranked ahead of you have more backlinks.. But it looks like you are doing all the right things. Try taking those articles you are submitting, re-spin them, and submit them to 2 or 3 more article submission directories.

Submit your articles 2 times a week to 5 different directories and that should be enough to get you ranked well within a couple weeks. That's 10 solid backlinks per week, and high profile content pointing to your site.

Also, just be patient, sometimes google is quick at indexing, but might take a bit longer to "update" something that has already been indexed. I think in couple more weeks or so your website should start to climb up the ranks.

You also need to diversify your backlinks, not just from article directories... bookmarks, blog comments, forum profiles, web 2.0 properties etc...

Article spinning says yes. But that needs mastering as well.

...sorry, not the content but the subject/categories. The content is different.

I would put up some better content and get some high pr. back links. Don't spend a lot of money.
