Backlink,Bookmarking,Articles Submission,Comment Blasting,...etc...ect..I am CONFUSE

Hi, I'M Noob

I read many tread on backlink and saw many services offered. I am now confuse what is the difference on all this service and which should I get first.

Can someone explain or point me the right direction on the differences on all the type of backlink

Backlink - From what I understand, It is a direct link (anchor with keywords) from relevant high PR site is good.


Linkwheel - From what I understand it is probably, a combination of backlink,blog comment, article submission to each other then finally link to the money site and will help the website ranking.
Yes I saw the diagram of many pattern.
Xrumen blast? Scrapebox blast? Pushlink? Profile, Pyramid, blog comment, article submission, book marking,etc... what is all this?, anyone care to explain

I already done onsite SEO (content), have 18K of direct backlink from mostly low PR website accumulated over a year. Just paid somebody to do Social bookmarking (I guess it will help but I have no idea how this will help my website)

If you already have 18k links even if they are low pr you should be ranked already unless you are trying to rank for a term like Dell, Apple or something like that.

I would re look at how the page setup is and the key terms you are going after.

Also what are you looking at that shows you have 18k links

If you are wanting to push traffic to your site social book marks and profile post and post with in forums is the best way to go.

If you want to get ranked then you need to look into getting hi pr sites with article submission, press prelease and so on.

I am in bit moderate competition on the keyword. I gain tremendous increase to page 2 from nowhere after I have redo my onsite seo and add content to it. As my competitor on 1st page do not even have content may be less then 4 page but on 1st page. I have study their back link seam like they have some high pr and edu link. I guese that could be the reason.
