I did have a website related to make money online long time ago, made some money but later on when google updated their algorithm, most of pages of my website de-indexed , I did not continue, now I have some time and I intend to start having website/s and make some money as affiliate again, but since lots of things have been changed since then, I am not sure how to start these days.

After doing some keyword research in health area, I found few health related keywords with low competition, I thought to get a domain for it, but then the search volume is not really high, the highest searched keyword is about 2000 per month, and the rest about 500-900, I am not sure how many searches per month a keyword should have, and how many keywords you should have to start a website around it, to worth buying a domain for it and make profit these days.

I am not sure if building a micro niche site is a good choice now, after the Google updates on exact keyword domain sites, I thought to aim for having a broader domain in health area, having 3-4 words domain (generic health related keywords), install wordpress on it and slowly add pages on different niches, all health related, low competition keywords, few pages on e.g. skin care, weight loss, dental, etc.. Some articles, some social media, youtube perhaps.

Would it be difficult to rank pages on such a website these days?

Or should I stick with one niche per website.

I think you should stick with 1 niche per site. You can make a site about a certain niche in health and then do product reviews for items on amazon, sign up for amazon affiliates and then link back to the product pages to make revenue. For monthly searches I would say you need a keyword with at least 5,000 monthly searches minimum. The more searches the better, but you want to make sure competition is low as well.

I did spend some time reading more on this forum and elsewhere, having a website running couple of niches requires a lots of work, tons big high quality articles, for each of the niches.
this post is a good source as well for anyone who is interested.
perhaps I should start do some more keyword research to find couple of good ones with higher search volume.
