Awaiting Responce from Buyer. Ebay Cases.

    Hi,

    I have had 2 cases open against me, I have replied to both cases, but they have been awaiting response from buyer for nearly a month. This is causing me issues now as paypal has frozen the funds of those sales. The listing was pulled by ebay, witch is what was the cause of one of the cases being opened as I was unable to update the dispatch notification.
    The other case was due to a buyer not reading the item description and buying on assumptions.

    Does anyone know if:

    1) Will ebay automatically close these cases if the buyer does not respond?
    1a) Does anyone know how long it takes for ebay to do this?
    2) Will PayPal issue refunds to the customers if the cases are not closed?
    2a) As the returns policy clearly stated no refunds and no returns, In the event that PayPal does an unauthorised refund, is there anything i can do to recover the funds?

    eBay will automatically close them in your favour if they do not respond in 1 month.

    If it is a dispute case then if then if the buyer does not respond it will close automatically after the designated time in your favor and no refund will be issued.If the buyer responds it still needs to be an escalated case and not a simple dispute in order for the buyer to receive the refund.You cant do much as far as concerning the policy that you stated no refunds as practically they overwrite that and as stated if the buyer responds the case need to be escalated for paypal review , only then he can receive the refund.
