Copyright claims and strikes seem to be one of the biggest concerns for youtube creators, especially for those who are still learning the platform's rules.

For experienced creators , what steps do you take to avoid copyright issues?

To bypass Content ID automatically flagging your videos, never let a raw clip play for more than 5 seconds straight. Flip the video horizontally, apply a subtle color grade filter, and speed it up by 1.05x->1.16x . Most importantly, always layer your own voiceover directly over the audio track to break the wave frequency

The safest approach is to use content that you created yourself or content that you have permission to use. For music, images and videos, I always check the licensing first instead of assuming it is safe. Spending a few minutes verifying rights is much easier than dealing with copyright claims or strikes later.

Either way, I make sure everything is either original material or stock music that I am licensed to use no grey area there.
