Autoblogs - Why so much BS about them?

Interesting conversation we have going on...We automate everything we can, if we can't be automated we outsource it...at $2/hr it is well worth the price to us.

I had a question the other day about hostgator...basically wanted to know if we use it. We do and it has worked great for us. We also resell hosting accts...that works well to.

Another service we use is SEO Hosting....we use lots of different class c IPs...we have been using them for the past 9 months without any problems.

Thats been our experience with them.

I spoke about promoting Autoblog's and one of the ways that you can promote your blog fairly easily is to use Onlywire. One of things I like about Onlywire is when one of my post automatically posts or I post it manually it automatically gets bookmarked in the roughly 28 different accounts. Now the only issue I really have with Onlywire is that you're only allowed five submissions per day, that is based on the API that you have to make this thing work automatically.

Okay now that's if you want to use the API automatically. If you use "the power of the button" button and you're not limited to the number of bookmarks you can do per day. Another issue I have with Onlywire is the fact that you have to go in and manually create all these accounts.

Like I said in the post before I'm a big fan of automation and when I can't automate I outsource. This is one of those times when is not possible to automate the account creation process so we will get one of our outsource workers to create these accounts for us. For $4 or $6 I can have these accounts created.

As I said there are some issues with Onlywire that don't make it my favorite bookmarking tool. I hate being limited to the number of posts I can have or the number submissions I can have per day. But Onlywire does allow me to bookmark some accounts automatically that we otherwise wouldn't use, so for $30 a year this is an excellent tool.

Another tool that I like to use is SENuke. I dont use a hacked version that is floating around the forum here, we used the paid version and as a general rule we don't have any problems at all.

We also use the paid version of Bookmarking Demon and Traffic Android to help promote our blogs. I'm going to have a section in our upcoming guide that will go into great detail on how we use these programs to automate our blog promotion process.

For those are wondering how the new guide is coming, it's coming slowly but surely. We've had a number of projects that has taken a lot of extra time the past couple weeks so I have not been able to devote the amount of time to the guide that I would like to have. I do have a portion of the guide done and I've started posting it now one of my other blogs. Once I get a little bit more of it done I give you guys access to it.

I apologize it is taking longer than I thought would get the guide done but rest assured I will get it finished I will make sure you guys get it.

I have tried blogging, it not as easy as it sounds. You have to have some experience with blogging for you whip it out that quickly.

Everybody wants to know the best way to get content...I don't know if there is a best way other than creating your own. But for those of us who want our blogs to run on autopilot that is not an option.

One of the techniques we use is to post PLR articles...I know you're saying, what about the duplicate content penalty. There is "NO" penalty...if Google doesn't like your content they wont index it. If it is duplicate and you have more links to it or your site is more of an authority then your content ranks higher than the other guys...it's that simple.

For those of you that want to disagree with me go ahead...I'm not debating this, if you don't agree don't do it. But let me show you something...I just pulled the first sentence of the first paragraph of a random PLR article I have on my hard drive.

Here is the search string for that sentence:


It only has one match...one other person has published this content.

If you look at the site that has you'll find that it has a total of 112 pages indexed....107 backlinks for the site and zero for the page.

Now when I publish that on one of my blogs that has a few thousand backlinks and have that page bookmarked a couple times it will show up ahead of the only other place that content has been published.

On this forum you can find millions of PLR articles. We use rss to blog to publish this content to our blogs. Now you know an easy way to add content to your blogs.

In my "day job" I maintain multiple webservers and hundreds of sites for a big company. The rule I try to live by is "Automate everything except where a mistake would cost big money"

Do you know any plugin can strip all image and flash movie tag?

Or any plugin can limit the length of every post?


I found it useful if we only post 1/3 of every article, then we will not piss off people who own the articles.

this thread has been an awesome read.

The ebook is on hold for the time being...other business demands have my attention at the moment. My partner is riding my butt to finish it...lol So I'm hoping to get back to it soon.

Hey - I may seldom speak out but that because - from my understanding - the only ones with any right to comment - on if a method works or not ??? - are not they only the ones who have TRIED IT FIRST! That knock out about 75 % of the wasted space on this thread. I have tried uto blog. It DOES work. Results are dependent on EFFORT, not dreaming, spamming or anything else. Get a grip all the other "non- triers" and get off your A$%#$se's and ACTUALLY DO IT instaed of being a F$#%$#'n armchair critic

Thanks for sharing this information. I was about to pay big bucks for a monthly service to create blogs but it looks like most of the automation tools they use are sprinkled throughout these threads and with a little hard work anyone should be able to set up their own autoblog and save some cash.

The problem of course is figuring out what plugins to use and to get the advice from someone actually MAKING MONEY with a fully functional BLOG farm.

If you are making a real good guide I'd be the first to buy it and also be sure to identify which steps can be easily outsourced or entrusted to VAs overseas. I want to make a blog farm business.

Just found this thread today. I belong to a team working on a minisite project. we are supposed to create hundreds blogs but we don't use auto content. the leader insist on making unique articles, but i think that's just impossible. i want to learn putting content through rss and caffeinated content so i can present the idea. i just hate spending lots of my time on an idea that i think wont work after all. we have plenty of resources as we could easlily buy programs and software if i can only prove its worth.

I'm also planning on doing blogs on my own (not as an employee) and I'm starting to see some light as to what i should be doing.

Im afraid no book yet....every time I get started other demands get in the way. I at least have the outline done...and even a little bit of the first chapter....lol

I think somewhere in this thread I listed most of the plugins...for content we use a number of different ones...I'll try to have a list put together some time this week and post it.
